Mach 1.31 to an apogee of 12,600 feet (13,300 feet GPS). I’m finally certified with the highest Level 3 by the Tripoli Rocketry Association (www.tripoli.or...)
This is my final solo rocket project in university (not capstone). It took me over 3 months of design and 4 months of manufacturing of all the parts. I fabricated the carbon fiber and fiberglass tubes via wet layup on a mandrel and machined the centering rings and fin brackets using a waterjet cutter and an end mill.
I’d like to thank my amazing mentors Dr. Steve Klausmeyer and Bob Brown for inspiring me and supervising this project.
Thank you to all the student techs and mentors at GoCreate and Wichita State University along with the rocket club for help with launch operations last weekend and some of the equipment I borrowed. Thank you to all Malaysians who supported me from home as well. Terima kasih.
