@@Dimbark I have a few maps on [EVIL] Battlezone, and a few maps that get played on the various pickup servers, Craigs/Outhouse/Inhouse. Recently got FTP access to the NWO server, as I'm currently working on a new map and need a public space to playtest so that other players can join and give feedback / help me find flaws. I'm at work, so I can't count EXACTLY how many maps I've finished, but I'd say I have at least a dozen playable maps made. I've probably started and scrapped over a thousand by now.

@Dimbeak how do I get multiple light sources on my map? I put down one light entity down at the beginning of the map with the brightness of 200. Inside of a vent I put down one with the brightness of 50. Only the one with a brightness of 200 shows up. How do I get this to work?

@@destination9586 Looks like you've got a brush outside the limits of the world. This could be caused by an error due to vertex manipulation, or you simply made a brush too big. If you use Map > Go to Brush Number and type in Entity 0, Brush 11, it should select the brush in question that's causing a problem.

Error: Could not open wad file \Users\B?nyamin\Desktop\tools\sdhlt.wad Error: Could not find WAD file Description: The compile tools could not locate a wad file that the map was referencing. Howto Fix: Make sure the wad's listed in the level editor actually all exist I wonder if this is because of a symbol in your username on the PC that's confusing the path?

Could someone explain or give me a link that better explains the clipping tool? I'm trying to create the vent as showed in the above example but I simply cannot get it to clip the singular wall brush into separate entities.

Try pressing the clip tool multiple times, this will change what side is red. Click it until both sides are white.

Sounds like you're in wireframe mode. In the 3d window, there should be a small black box with the word wire frame on it that you can click and changed to 3d shaded textures

I'll have an episode on CS 1.6 in time. As for now, yes all of this applies to CS 1.6. Instead of drawing your textures and .fgd from the halflife folder you'll do it from the cstrike folder in your Half-Life folder. All of these mapping techniques apply similarly.

It's because you have a ? before the C:/, you need to remove the question mark from the drive path in your setup.
