Level up your Chrome Extensions: Manifest V3 and beyond

Chrome extensions are in a critical phase with the Manifest V2 deprecation rolling out in June 2024. This talk will share more details about the upcoming deprecation to give developers more clarity around what to expect. We'll also share what we’ve been working on to improve the Chrome Web Store experience for developers and users, as well as the latest additions to the Chrome extensions platform.

I’ve been using Firefox ever since the Firefox Quantum overhaul in 2017. I went from Firefox > Opera > Chrome > back to Firefox. Chrome really isn’t for me.

If it weren't for the fact Firefox's developers support censorship and deplatforming I'd use their browser. I'll stick with Brave until they make a fork of Firefox to completely remove your garbage from my computer.

That seems a bit silly, seeing as Google also supports those things. And it's not like Brave's developers don't support a lot of weird things. (Like sneakily enabling crypto stuff when you didn't ask for it, and only turning it off after enough people complain.) I'd get it if you were paying them. But if it's free? Just use whatever is better. Though, Brave is probably the easier choice for now: with Firefox, you have to find all your extensions again, and possibly get a few that replace Chrome features. And then do a lot of tweaking of the UI to get it to work the same.
