I think the remake of All Quiet on the Western Front is another reason Bf1 is seeing a resurgence. I went and redownloaded it the night I saw it. Bf1 I still say is DICE's finest work from top to bottom. To have the quality we got with Bf1 without all the bugs and glitches typical of Bf releases was great. The game is so damn immersive. What I would do to have a Battlefield game as immersive as this one in a modern setting.

I never stopped playing BF1. It is still easily my favorite shooter of all time. The maps, the sound, the atmosphere were all perfect. I doubt we'll see its equal in the BF franchise again.

BF1 is what EA should have done, What EA had to do is copy the template of bf1, its atmosphere, color palette, the gun play is what they should do in the next battlefield game. Word is they are creating a narrative campaign for battlefield, i think its single player only? but if there ever is multiplayer then they should copy the good parts of bf1

It's a shame they didn't add the Japanese faction, they fought the German colonies in the pacific, but you know DICE and EA, right? what they should have done is made those bolt action rifle only servers, bf1 in its hardcore state is really the premier ww1 shooter, even better than verdun and tannenberg. I always liked playing st quentin scar and monte grappa with bolt actions only. Very immersive.

The best way to use cavalry is to use the sword and granades on the horse and dismount to use the rifle or pistol Also this is probably the best thought out btf game in a while

Hell no. If you dismount, you lose all your armor. You have the same HP as any other infantry. On the horse, you can get shot like 15 times or more. So while you don't have the accuracy on the horse, you can push into hotter situations, get a couple kills, then retreat and heal.

@@lulkLogan well depends on the map and though you have less health you have probably the best pistol in game (always dismount once you spawn to equip your pistol and then mount again,it saves you a lot) and the best version of the russian winchester that has good accuracy, reload speed and range. To push into hotter situations the best thing you can do is wait for at least another horse to spawn and move together, you never experince the full power of cavalry till you have four horsemen on galitzia.

I love Battlefield 1. It got me into WWI history. I would love to see another WWI game showing other fronts and nations, like Serbia fighting Bulgaria, Portugal fighting in Africa, Japan fighting the Germans and later the Russians in the Pacific.

The one downside to BF1 popularity and more "normies" getting into WW1, is that it raised the prices twofold of all world war 1 firearms. Sucks for us collectors. I needed another SMLE but not at double the price.

I got this game on monday on sale and my gawd it's jaw dropping. The campaign is grindy and game doesn't hold your hand throughout the war so you can fight it your way and the multiplayer feels so smooth I can't even express it in words. As a seasoned FPS guy with 1000+ hours on Apex Legends and 300+ on valorant i had my doubts whether I'd enjoy it but I love this game to the point I haven't played anything else since then.

I bought this game 1 year ago,and i gotta tell you it's one of my favorite games.amazing graphics,good gunplay,at the same time it's able to still be an arcade game and not very historically accurate like the chapters of before but at the same time still being immersive,the soundtracks are amazing.only problem,some Maps are very unbalanced and now It Is usually full of cheaters.

Was there ever a BF game that had local, squad, and command channels, like HLL? I was frustrated a bit to find there was no local chat in BF1, just squad chat. I hate seeing a teammate unknowingly walk into danger that you know of, but you can't warn him quickly enough. Nothing beats just cliking on a button saying what you need to real fast. It's faster than text chat, and more specific than the commo-rose.

I was having so much fun last night running the smg 08/18 on Argonne forest barely ADS’ing 😂😂😂 this game is a classic. Was running over 150 fps in 1440p.. this was my first PC game and I was running a 1070ti playing in 1080p. Not like you with a 4090 in 4k but maybe soon ;)

Ive struggled with the operations mode just because it always seems there's somebody sitting back in their spawn with an artillery truck. Spamming for the full game. I havnt really understood the counter to this so I've found my solace in conquest. If it wasn't for that I would probably play that mode more as I like its progressive style.

This game looks so much better than any multiplayer shooter that has come after it. Crazy, considering it's almost 10 years old. It's really the best looking Battlefield game, and one of the best looking games ever. BFV had too happy and bright colors. And BF2042, doesn't even deserve a mention... Amount of polygons or texture resolution doesn't make good graphics. Tasteful and realistic color palette is much more important.

Dice should just revive this game because they know the BF1 community is still active. If they added content I am sure this would make more money for them it would be a win-win on both sides. The calvary class is underrated it can put down a lot of work by helping your team if used right, I have more time and kills on the horse it so much fun.

if you have HDR display try DolbyVision option you gonna be suprised and if you PC can run game at 200% resolution scale it will make image so much better and sharper because assets scale very well when resolution increases

BF1 is the only Battlefield game I've played after 4, and only for a few games after buying it on sale. I had some latency issues and then some general PC issues so haven't been back on, but maybe I'll redownload and give it another shot.

I loved the direction BF1 went for, slightly slower and more realistic compared to previous BF games before it. It wasn't flawless on release (just like any BF game) but after a few patches and DLCs it got there. BF5 could have been the best if it wasn't abandoned, but instead we got BF2042...

What are you on about? BFV was and is a beautiful game minus the controversial launch with the idiotic employee talking about _"if you don't like it don't buy it"_ nonsense. Baring that and the lackluster amount of content throughout its Live Service, the Pacific Theater really saved the game and it is *_very_* enjoyable and fun, much more so than the likes of the abomination that is 42. The gunplay, mechanics like fortifications, squad revive, crouch run, laying on your back whilst prone, chucking back enemy grenades and taking ammo off of dead players' bodies are just some of the many things BFV got right.
