You beat me to this review - I had one in the works but Level obviously does it better. My thoughts (in case anyone is interested): I think the biggest drawback to this gun is obviously the recoil. The 0.45 vertical recoil is definitely harsh but its that 2.3x first shot multiplier that hurts it the most. Other than the MTAR, that 2.3x multiplier is one of the highest among all carbines and assault rifles. For those that don't know, the multiplier value is the amount of vertical recoil that results after the first shot. A higher value means you have to pull down on the mouse more drastically to control the next rounds than other weapons. (By way of comparison, the SCAR-H has a 1.6x multiplier, making it much more easier to control even though the vertical recoil value is higher than the ACE 52). For average Joes like me, that multiplier and vertical recoil number makes the ACE 52 somewhat unmanageable unless you are very good at burst firing. My advice: Take time to learn how many rounds per burst you are able to handle at long range because that is where this gun excels.

The funny thing is I´ve been using this weapon quite unsuccessfully for a while. But when xfactor made a video about it and I learned it had a higher damage output, I´ve suddenly gotten crazy good with it. It was like a confidence boost. Played multiple TDM rounds yesterday and always had a 3+ KD. Insane gun if handled right!

Hopefully. This will be one of the first modern BF games to lack the G3 if it isn't added. I liked it in BF3 and BC2, but I loved it in BF2 (also like it in PR). I wouldn't mind if they decided to change it up and add a G3KA4 or something instead of the G3A3 we've seen over and over, but I seriously hope we see a G3 in the future. The G3 and AN94 are definitely weapons that people constantly ask DICE to add, so hopefully we'll see them sometime in the future.

it's 2020 and I really doubt it's coming. DICE really fucked up the RPK-74M model so it's not the gun you should mention if you want to, by the way. G3 is much older.

Uh, I'd definitely consider 2020 "modern". If they still have the L85A2 or M16 in 6 years I don't see why they wouldn't have a G3A3 or another G3/CETME variant, considering they're still in use worldwide (especially in the Middle East). Whether or not it's coming though, I don't know, but it's certainly a viable addition.

Angled grip and suppressor/muzzle break on every gun. I don't understand why DICE won't change the recoil mechanics on the guns with the console versions. It just does not make any sense. They can patch that relatively easy.

This gun was nerfed, it now does 33 max instead of 34 max. Doesn't sound like a lot right, until you relise that means you are going to be 1 point of damage away from getting 3 shot kills. The minimum damage was reduced by 1 as well making it 19 instead of 20, making it 6 shots at rang instead of 5. Also, side to side recoil went from being 0.25 on both sides, to 0.3 on both sides.

Снаяои cry This change is absolutely ancient. Most automatic guns had their max damage reduced by a bit (most ARs now do 24.5 instead of 25, SCAR-H and Bulldog had it changed from 34 to 33). The reasoning was to make very close engagements (because the damage begins to drop off at about 8-10m) a bit more consistent.

I don't think, in my personal opinion stubby/potato are the best grips, then again it all has to do with the gun you are using. If i'm using a gun with low first shot recoil then i use stubby or i would use a angled grip if the first shot recoil is high.

ACE 52 CQB. I was using it with heavy barrel and ergo grip. I cannot tell it was good on long range, but in close to medium I was owing people, cause I have enough recoil controling skills to use it well. I understand why it's banned on ESL, not many people are using it (at least I don't see many), but it's really worth to try it out. Same as AK5C or SCAR-H.

I dont call ace 52 overpowered. It is a strong weapon, yes, but it has some downsides to. On longer range it totally sucks, you'll never get a kill with it. And while hipfiring you'll almost always dont get the kill. And it isn't as easy to use like most other carbines like Ace 23 CQB or ak5c.

That's bullcrap that they banned this gun, it's one of my favorites! And I disagree with you LC, the weapon is monstrous in close quarters - it's RoF + high damage easily keep it on par with weapons like the AEK (Unless you're shooting someone with body armor). The time to kill with it within it's max damage range is absurdly low, only beaten by weapons like the Famas that have over 900 RPM. The fact that it's a carbine only sweetens the deal; I can go recon on a map like operation locker and use T-UGS to get the drop on people and lay waste to them, or Support just so that I don't run out of ammo. It's essentially an M240B but with a smaller magazine and much more manageable recoil. It's certainly not a scrub weapon, as it takes a fair amount of skill to handle properly.

When i join a dom server an our team is getting wrecked i use this gun, barely any recoil for the damage it does, and is easily the best carbine, far surpassing the ak5c. Thank god it was banned, this gun is a joke to use.

You want a scrub gun, the ACE23 is about as close to it as you can get without being the M16A3 in BF3.

Actually the BF3 Scar-H had a 30 dmg per shot maximum, so it still needed 4 shots at close range. The advantage was at longer ranges where you still had 25 while other carbines had 20

Looking at the symthic stats this seems like a better alternative than the Scar-H. The scar has a little bet less recoil and a higher minimum damage(25). The ACE52 has a minimum damage of 20 and a bit more recoil.

For some reason, only 720p and 1080p are available with DASH playback enabled. 240p, 360p and 720p are available with it disabled, but anyone that wants to watch it in 480p is shit out of luck. For people getting errors, try watching in HD.

Use the shadow upgrade spec and try not to engage in many direct confrontations. Also, every now and then after you kill someone, you have to come come up with some sort of badass one liner. I have so much fun with this weapon, probably because I have a (relatively) high accuracy rating and I'm pretty good at leading people with low velocity weapons. It hits like a truck, which is just really satisfying compared to the more popular tactic spraying someone with the better part of an AEK mag. I hope IWI brings a semi-auto version of this rifle to the States for real, because it's pretty much my ideal Kalashnikov.

Tural440 keep in mind i haven't strictly ONLY ever used it, for example i have another 1k with fast attack craft, like 990 with the AWS, and 500 with the ACW-R... its just my perfred go-to gun for *most* any map-gamemode combination
