Thank you so much for this video! I have been struggling so long to get that to align. The key is to loosen that u piece from factory! Thanks

You leave the vat on for z axis calibration?
@arturiusz3 жыл бұрын
Yes I do... Fitting VAT first like for a print.... And levelling plate to it. Then I have better reference level for start.The key is my changed black thick tape for very tin cooper tape. Is aloud to FEP film be exact on the screen with no gap.

@@arturiusz do you think aluminium tape would work fine?
@banditresinfactory50343 жыл бұрын
@@SevrDzn Yes should be fine... the matter is need to be thin..flat and smooth with no imperfections... I have choose cooper because is nicely thin.

Care to share your settings for the resin you are using?
btw you are not using the paper method for calibration?
@banditresinfactory50343 жыл бұрын
No, because what is the point calibrate to paper without VAT and then you put VAT so FEP thickness plus VAT posistion will be never your paper thickness height, by the calibrate to VAT with FEP you have best reference start point.
@LUMLTZ053 жыл бұрын
@@banditresinfactory5034 Totally agree with you. I am wondering if its so obvious, why then use/recommend the paper method from manufacturer?
@holm763 жыл бұрын
@@LUMLTZ05 This is a modified printer so obviously he uses a modified method of calibrating. If you've seen other videos of Phrozen printers they use a quite thick tape around the screen. This guy changed it to a thinner copper tape. That changes his calibrate routine. And maybe ultimately gives him a better resolution because the curing happens closer to the screen as a result.
@banditresinfactory50343 жыл бұрын
@@LUMLTZ05 as Holm76 said I have now nice tin tape around, the recepie for success with levelling is if your starting point... for example paper thickness if you use to level is same thick as original black thick tape... I think they have different thickness this black tape is really thick. As my copper tape is nearly "nothing" my FEP film is exact on the LCD screen so for me the best is just leveling to FEP film... if your plate stop on some point on the black tape while you leveling... it will leave you false starting point and between FEP film and LCD screen will be gap of thickness of black tape... as I consider this gap can generate come uncontrolled exposure stereoeffect in this space... some kind of angle with streem of UV light which will slightly make fake dislocated edges on your printing element. I know these differences are small. But they are. And if I have option to avoid them. I see works really nice..no problem with calibration and all the time great print results.

Yes but in Sonic Mini 4K you have great filter absorbing... My printer is in a cupboard and even have not exhaust yet. I was try many settings Phrozen Grey 4K couldn't work for me.
