The combined level 1400 achievement (and the fact that I needed a lvl 1 char to sell some things with transfer) made me open the 8th character slot, so I recorded the EXP-ing progress of the new character.

Ahoy! With the new update (well, new to EU anyway :P ), Devil's tower part 1 is available, and let me tell you, EXP is just amazing in there! It's a lvl 180+ dungeons, so you can try it when exping is the hardest. However, note that there's a limit on the maximum entry count per day, you can only enter twice a day! During the previous 350% server-wide EXP boost my record was 167 million exp in 1 hit, at lvl 200 :)

I half-believe they mis-typed something and we'll get those crappy random safeguards that you need 50 of to try +1 on your item. But with the new dungeons, FT3, Edge of Phantom, etc... people REALLY need those safeguards to finally start farming dungs with +15 chaos stuff, so it might have actually been intended.

Yeah it seems the powercreep could be intended because the majority of the playerbase is not even able to farm eod3 on NA server. Devs put ton of money into developing FT3 so it should be actually visible ingame. But if even the best players cant run it, whats the point releasing it? The luck based stuff is so terrible that players are unable to catch up properly which drives people into botting. Luck stuff always has an gaussian distribution so some few are that lucky to actually be able to run it however most are average-bad in luck based things.

Quite true. The only people who can finish FT3 are hackers... they are even selling Mazel ring service on Mercury. But then again, when EoD3 was introduced to EU, we had no clue how to beat the first boss, and those who couldn't even dream about entering there could solo half of the dungeon now. So maybe in 1-2 episodes we'll have enough new items, re-balancing, etc.... whatever that EoD3 will be the new duo-trio dungeon for regular players and FT3 will be beatable.

This game back in the day could compete with WOW... But then devs decided to screw it and never took care of bots... Now it's nearly unplayable, no fun from seeing only bots... Meanwhile WOW is doing reasonably well. Sad to see that Cabal is on it's knees now...

Another excellent source of exp, is Awakened Lava Hellfire, mainly around level 160 (and even before the character already possesses advanced equipment). Requires good gear for this, but even after lv170 is a good option if you raise the level of the dungeon. I leveled a FG in its launch from 160 to 180 only on it, very good.

Wow! Leveling up is so much different now. Back when I first started playing, no one was leveling up their characters. We were more into skill grinding back then.

Well, back in those days you could make a "living" farming the alz dropped by lvl 40 monsters... now the only real way to get any money is to farm high level dungeons and sell the loot to other players. So everyone is in a hurry to level up and make it easier, because you don't get enough money from quests to even finish your skills.

Oof just installed this on Steam, I played back in 2005 when it came out.. TBH it was what I played while waiting for friends to get on WoW (because wow had just released months prior). Those were some really good times indeed! :) I remember when being able to farm Wriggleleaves in GD and selling bluestin items to NPC made you rich, and those alz bombs! PS: you may not want to play it through Steam. I heard that server is dead and there's no way to transfer your character to another server once you start playing.

Sir question my FA already have tri amp mcr glvs and suit. Quad boots. With all that amp what weapon would be better? 14amp 24cdi or 40cdi 7amp (on one orb)

I'm sorry but I'm not familiar with the meaning of tri/quad in this case. Can you clarify? I think 40 dmg 8 amp is the best combination for weapon as long as you have enough crit rate for them.

Yo, just found your channel and your videos have been extremely helpful so far! Especially the crafting videos since I'm a relatively new player to Cabal and it was pretty confusing trying to figure out how the mechanic works xD I would like to ask a few questions that aren't necessarily related to the video and hope that you can answer them, that would be really appreciated! 1. What are the intro and outro songs that you use on your videos? xD 2. Why aren't there any quests on Undead Ground? I'm not very familiar with every past updates and patches of the game, did they remove them or do I need to get to a certain level in order to gain access to them? I'm currently having a lv85 Wizard and it just seems really weird that the storyline just suddenly came to a halt after I finished a scenario quest at lv79 and it left me confused that there aren't anything afterwards when the plot suggests otherwise. 3. What would you recommend as an ideal skill set for Wizard, at least for PvE? 4. Should you sell or get rid of the Upgrade and Force Cores (Low) or should you keep them for whatever potential necessities later on? It doesn't seem like it can be of any use for now with crafting and it doesn't look like there are any demand for them on the market, but at the same time it's not like you can easily pick them up from mob drops in great abundance so I'm left wondering what to do with them. 5. Why are the drops for Wizard so low? xD I've been grinding my character in Ruina Station and Undead Ground but all I picked up are things mainly for sword classes xD Again, thanks for the videos and I hope you have a great day!

Ahoy! I'll try to answer them to the best of my abilities: 1. Intro is Shipwrecked by Alestorm; outro is We are the Wild by Powerwolf 2. As far as I know there are quests all the way to lvl 199, but general quests end somewhere around lvl 160 or so. In case of scenario quests you will always see 1 at a time, and the next one is given only when you complete the active/previous one (and you reach the level requirement). In case of general quests you may have to "unlock" the area with a sort of introduction quest, usually as simple as "go there and talk to that"; otherwise there's only a level requirement for them. 3. Check out this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/opWqkqGkadiLbZI 4. I'd recommend selling them. Once you start farming dungeons you will be looting those cores in abundance (at least compared to grinding mobs on normal maps). Besides, low grade core usage in the game is pretty much restricted to temporary skilling gear, 40/7 helmet attempts at shadowsteel grade and upgrade point accumulation for "real" upgrades. You will very soon be using high-highest grade armor and weapons, because it's still cheaper to buy some highest grade armor with 7% amp epic option at +0 than upgrading your low-medium gear to +15 :) Regarding this subject (surprisingly, it's advertisement time again!), I've made a short video series that might help: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nn7KiqmQhbV_fbs this is episode 1, for the basic stuff and lower levels. You can find the other 2 episodes by very similar names (and are probably listed in the related videos anyway). 5. There are only 3 magic classes, and 5 sword classes, and which class your loot belongs to is determined randomly, so naturally you will happen upon more sword items. That doesn't mean WI is any rarer than the rest! Hope that helps. If anything is unclear, feel free to ask!

As far as question 2 is concerned, it's assuring to know that there are still many other quests for later levels, but it's still puzzling that there seems to be no quest available (yet at least, at the moment) for UG despite having finished what you said to be an introductory quest at lv79 (you talked to Dr. Heil and he told you to go to UG, which was also enough to level you up to 80 and unlocked the map). Maybe I should at least try to level up to see if there will be any quest unlocked and also try to finish the rank up test 8 (which is hella difficult for my current state xD) to see if there are any changes. Ah yes of course, I forgot about the rank up quests. It's not about unlocking the areas, but actually about finishing those, so indeed you must do them for all quests until the next rank up to be available :)

What should you do with the dungeon drops that may or may not have "upgraded" qualities? Something like Shadow Titanium Katana of Deathblow + 2 with 2 slots? Currently I'm trying to sell the ones that look pretty good with many upgrade levels/many slots/have a higher material quality at the agent shop to get some good cash and extract anything lower like Citrine, would it be advised to do so?

Well, you may find some buyers for those things, for whenever someone starts the game over or makes a new character looking for some temporary medium grade item. However, (at least on Mercury), a stack of 127 force core pieces can be sold within minutes for something like 7 million alz, and it really isn't that hard to collect that many from extracting items that have slots of any grade. You can get 1-5 often, sometimes even 10 pieces from a single item, and considering how almost every chest you open in a dungeon will drop one with slot, if not a core, it's not bad money. I make most of my income from selling upgrade cores and the materials obtained through extracting items whenever there isn't a more favorable event going on. Plus that way they don't occupy much of your inventory's space! As for the upgrade level you mentioned, I don't think anyone looking for those items would care if they are +1 or +5 when they buy them. Perhaps if there are multiple of the same, then they'd choose the one with higher +, but otherwise I don't think so.

That's true, unfortunately. Hence the "guide" in quotation marks in the title :D You can do any of these in party (except solo-only dungeons like HVH). During exp bonus events here in EU-Mercury we often have people making parties in the party search option looking for members for ECA and the likes of that.

i noticed that you used low level sword skills like force assault when you were comboing the boss at 3:03 ... will it kill the boss faster that way? or is using high level skills like assassinate or something better?

Depends on many things. But in most cases yes, faster skills deal more damage. You see, most of your damage is because of your items, and while skills add amp and attack to the hits, you very soon reach the point where you can outdamage the defense of bosses even with normal attack or weak skills. If you reach that point, then it's likely the faster skills will yield better results.

Ahoy! The thing is levelling is so fast until 150+ that it's not worth spending any alz on gear. Better just struggle through it with lots of deaths/HP potions and then spend your money on some items that last for a time after 155, with palladium grade available than waste your money on items you'll replace in 2 days.

Ahoy! I've seen your other comment on the Wizard review video but since they are very similar I hope you are fine with an answer to both on this one. First of all, I made a video guide like this a long time ago, most of it (for earlier levels, under 170) is still somewhat up-to-date but I cannot make a new series about that because of limited time. You can find the first episode (in a playlist) here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nn7KiqmQhbV_fbs It also includes information on getting "free" gear from mobs and quests at low levels. Second, the levelling was made somewhat harder a few months ago (latest update) in the sense that you can no longer gain "passive exp" from other players who are not in the same map. So you can't reach the first 50-100 levels with just some high level guy farming while you're in party, you have to do it yourself now. Still, quests are a great source of exp until lv 110 or so. Adept items are now called "of skilled", so they still exist, and are dropped in dungeons, no longer crafted. But if you finish all the quests until lv 120 or so you will reach about the first quarter of transcender skill rank, so you won't have to spend weeks on training dummies. Which region and server are you playing on? If you're in EU Mercury you can drop me a pm ingame sometime if you have any further questions. Hope this helps! :)

Damn lvling in cabal is so easy nowadays. Back in 2011 it took me days if not weeks to reach lvl 110+ let alone those annoying skill xp points....but i just started from scratch again and im lvl 100 after like 2 days and my skill xp is maxed so far i guess they changed quest at some point

I trully love this video. Always come back to watch it. The only issue is that usually I'm not as well equiped as you are. Mainly on Defense Power. So for example, I cannot rank up in the Buffalos with a Mage or my FS :( If you could give some tips on this, but with proper AP/DP for each spot, would be great.

Those numbers are bullcrap. There's a good reason I censor them in every new video - I try to urge people to look at the game without those useless numbers. If you build your char based on attack rate and resist critical damage stats, your AP/DP will be over the roof, but in dungeons bosses will still squash you like ants. Feels like all the "strong" players out there do anything just to increase those numbers to show off and to compete, and this urges "weaker" players to do the same, which is ridiculous. That said, you should aim for things that actually help you survive in there - HP steal, and using skills that have nice big area hits. Neither of those affect your AP/DP but mean the difference between farming exp and dying. Make use of your battle modes or auras, perhaps invest into some higher grade gear that doesn't increase damage just to get more defense, defense rate, hp and possibly HP steal. And use HP potions! That's all I can recommend.

I'm guessing you're playing on a private server, on some old patch like episode 2 to be a magic-FS :D Defense used to work differently then, it was very much like damage reduction is now, so I'd go with def in that case. Besides, from what I recall the only reason why people would build magic-FS was that highest grade items with the "wrong" amp were dirt cheap compared to items with the proper craft/slots, so they could reach insanely high defense with those items for a realistic price. If you're playing an official server, my only advice would be to delete the character and start anew, or reset the stat points or something and go back to sword.

Apparently I made a BL character in cabal ph and leveled her up from 1-191 in a couple of weeks. 1-100 my GM boosted me either from senilinea or Dt1 and Dt2. 101-110 scenario quest 110-120 Ftb1f on the grick spot 120-150 s2 on the maku spot(the maku spawn every ten minutes so you have at least 6-7 waves of exp best to do it in solo as long as you can soak up the Damage of the makus. 150-183 eternal chaos arena( I paid someone and it costed me about 40m for the fee and the entry item which costed 20m 183-185 Dt1 2runs(apparently you can run Dt1 and Dt2 4times every day you just have to pay 15Force gem.) 185-190 chaos arena 7(I did it with my GM so I took us a couple of runs to get to 190 considering that my character gains 15% exp per run.) 190-191 Devil's tower 2(4 runs) Disclaimer: I did this during the leveling event so alongside the bonus event exp of 200%, ihave a BB plus that adds another 100% and couple of experience booster to make up to 355% exp boost and costed me about 560m which is cheaper than oathed boosting, though it is back breaking. Anyway that's how I got to 191 happy farming everyone!!!!

Ahoy! Crystal and blade give you the most attack, so I'd go with those. Katana is only advantageous if you're missing attack rate, which I'm sure you won't as a FB. PS: price matters a lot too, so if you can obviously buy a cheaper katana with better stats, go for that.

Ahoy! That depends on what you wish to do while playing Cabal. Do you want to chill, get to know people and have fun with them when you have some free time to spend? Then sure it's cool! You can spend years and still not get near the end of it, and you can always find something to improve. Ahoy! Well, extreme dual cannon is good to stun them, which makes them stop doing anything for about 3 seconds, but once that effect expires they will all hit you at the same time. What I can recommend, is that you re-position your character after using that skill, to be a but further away from your targets. That, or use cannons only (expert rank), because they have knock-back effect, which might mess up the way you lured them together, but it will save you the trouble of having to move yourself. Also, try using your battle mode 2 as much as possible! It will give you a bunch of defense, and let you cast 2 attack skills at once, which also means 2 crowd-control effects applied (down, stun, knockback).

I was using the terragrace items I got from quests from around lvl 110, but I had the help of my main character's accessories. RW3 bike with 20%cd/5rate/magic amp, talisman+7, charm+7. arcanas +10, carnelian +11 and belt of sage +18 (yes, sage, it still gives crit dmg and penetration :D ) EDIT: almost forgot, the combined level 1200 title gave me 50 damage reduction which I believe was the biggest boost my FB received to help with leveling.

Depends on when the last time you played it was. In the last 2 years or so it hasn't changed in any negative way, but if you used to play it more than 3 years ago you will probably find that it's become awfully pay2win and that you won't get very far starting from scratch unless you either give it a jump boost (with real money) or have insane luck with loot.

Yes, Hazardous Valley on hard shouldn't be a problem for a lvl 170 FS, but EXP won't be too spectacular. Still it might be your best bet for exp after ECA.

Ahoy! Gotta agree, I really enjoyed leveling up that FB, but my favorite is still WI! Well the thing is, crystals give more attack and attack rate, whereas orbs mainly focus on magic attack. As a FB you won't make too much use of magic attack (except for BM1 which you will rarely ever use outside PVP), so crystal I believe it definitely a better choice. You get the same astral weapons stats from an orb and a crystal of the same grade.

From my experience Siena B2F is significantly quicker and easier than B1F, though more expensive to level in. The room with the Makos that spawn Siegried gives tremendous EXP and the Maku Sha gives fairly decent EXP too. Advance until you reach the Mako room, kill the Makos in BM2 and then exit, repeat. Takes 20ish minutes for only slightly less EXP than a full 1 hour run of B1F. I went in there at lvl 154 with +250% exp and one run gave me about 80% of the level in EXP. Killing Siegfried is not worth the time if you're looking to level. He is too tanky and doesn't give enough EXP to justify fighting him. Alternatively you could try farming the mob group that drops the two items. Seems like you can respawn them every time you killed the mob group by talking to the pillars again.

Hmm well, FG has that absolute damage resist buff, which can be awesome in lots of cases. For example FA has def rate/evasion, WI has absorb damage, but neither of those will protect you from instant-kill attacks or combo in PVP. Movement speed bonus in BM3 eliminates the problem of being rooted by short skill, and makes farming dungeons where you move around a lot much faster. And enough accuracy to kill jing-na in AFI without combo XD Well, mostly anyway... point is, you'd have enough accuracy for everything. So you can focus on attack rate and you won't ever have your attacks blocked/missed. Cons... the survival skill I mentioned has much longer CT, and no other way to stay alive (no regen buff, healing etc...). BM2 seems weak to me, but haven't tested it on any decent character yet. And skills outside of BMs are pretty bad from my experience. I'd choose WI of those 3 I think.

just do all the quests and skip the grind...you will make good level only from those,if you have premium everything will be 3-4 times faster due to warp and 100% exp increase,after that you should go farm exp in IC1 and ic2 and still do the quests when you reach 500kk alz just buy a exp service wich will take you to lvl 190...after that do the quests and begin your eq grind,this is the fastest and easiest way to lvl in cabal but you will need alz.

BL is probably the best for solo. But it won't be easy to find party later if you decide to start that, and gear has been quite expensive since every new player chooses BL. FB is mainly support, so unless you get an epic set it won't do much good solo.

At the start of the dungeon you can let the mushid and marps spawn at intervals of 30 seconds, just spawn them forever until the dungeon is over :)

I actually meant simply running the dungeon. The marp/mushid spot didn't work for me when I tried it with FB, for that AoS1 was better. However, the exp yield of bosses was greatly increased and since they are lvl 180+, it's a decent source if you do some full runs.

That is probably your best bet. But don't forget you can enter Devil's Tower from lvl 180, up to 2 times a day - even if you just kill the mobs in 1st room you already get a helluva lot of exp.

Yoo. Just came back today. Me and my cousin started the game again after having a character in Júpiter (him lv 161 and I was 159). Our biggest problem was always to get money so we could at least make our gear decent but we were never able to. The only method I got for making a little alz was by making a new character and questing. theres gotta be a better way. We started today in Mercury since its the most populated server but I never know how should I farm alz so I can prepare myself for Higher levels :(

Well, whatever you farm... just aim for 3 things: do lots of it, do it fast, and make sure the entry prices aren't too high or else you'll end up losing money or gaining very little profit. When farming you should aim for a steady income from upgrade and force cores, and maybe the craft materials you get from extracting stuff (up/force core pieces, material cores and quartz cores, some scrolls maybe) and don't aim for "something big". If anything valuable comes your way, that's just gravy, but you should have profit from the guaranteed drops only. That being said, I think almost any dungeon whose entry is craftable by players and is sold through AH will grant you that, but unfortunately the entries that are sold by NPCs only are far too overpriced to even get their own prices back. And most importantly: patience! You will need months or even years to get anywhere if you're a free player like me. Make sure you stick to parties as much as you can and you make friends and communicate with other players or else you will get bored of the game really fast. And honestly, why would you play a game that isn't fun? :) Hope that helps. If you have any questions, I'm all ears.

Same deal, but you'll have to do more runs of each things. Level booster just increases speed. But either way, you can just wait until GMs add some event with EXP bonus, you don't necessarily have to buy premium or anything of the sort. You can just farm for alz and drops while there's no bonus.

I don't know. If you want my advice, stop following the idiots who think attack power is the most important thing in the game. I simply ignore it. This is strangely new to me o.o? I used to lvl up only with questing and like, 1-2 day lvl 100 (max 1 week for lazy times) and never grinded ... just questing and its fine... at lvl 100 b1f than 120 SoD or so (can't quite remmeber the process) but i remember how pay to win that game was >_< I played f2p in any case... but when i payed once (just the cheapest premium month) i couldn't play without it anymore XD that teleport is very, VERY handy xD besides that a very good with very nice graphics and unbalanced gear

True, the ability to use GPS warp is undoubtedly the best benefit of premium! EXP, Drop rate, etc... you get mostly from events with 300-400% bonus so I believe buying a year of platinum for 5 vouchers when they have a black friday or other premium service sale is the best option :) It will take a long time to farm that much alz for new players though.

@@MsTatakai Well, I'm not sure what you mean by unbalanced, but nowadays you won't really find any shadowtitanium gear over +15 because practically nobody is using medium grade anymore, except maybe those in the 52-79 wars (around 2-3 people in my server probably). However you should also consider that nowadays, safeguards for upgrading regular gear are a lot more common than before, so getting an item to +15 isn't such a big deal anymore, if you avoid items that will be bound to your character upon equipping. You can buy upgrade services from other players and you only have to pay them for successful upgrades. Also, now all armor above aramid are class-specific, which means they all increase your HP as well (just like shadowtitanium used to at that time when only it and shineguard were class-specific).

It is still like this, and the farm is much worse, outrageous and fatal items, bar headpiece, nowadays are worth literally nothing if it isn't demonite grade, because crafted gears are just so much superior and do not incur in the problem of being character bound, private servers are just better for a strict f2p experience.
