I was 12 years old when a school nurse was doing random checks on jr. high ( 6 grade ) students . She found my B.P. at 190 / 120 on a friday , She sent me home until Monday when she checked it once more . Now it was 210 / 150 . She called my mother to pick me up and take me to my dr. Within a few hours , I was diagnoused with a Coarctation of the Aortia . I'm in my 60's now , But I also had a bicuspid left ventrical valve stenosis . I was told that these two commonly come together. I also now have sinus asystole . Going into full arrest has no pain ! And its like falling asleep or being put to sleep with Propofol !

Thank you! Wow, a lot of information...how to remember it all I don't know! So many different heart problems that a baby can be born with, it is sad! Makes me so thankful that my kids were born healthy. Thanks Cathy!!

Through my imaginations guided by your anatomic and physiologic explanations makes me understand better each heart defects, its signs and symptoms, and why they are included in their specific heart defect classifications. I do agree that these are difficult topics but concepts are better understood with the aid of your videos. It makes studying easier. Again, thank you!
