No custom instructions so the AI tends to constantly forget what it's building and goes into sabotage mode. And on the $60/mo plan, actual work will use up all your credits in a few days.

33:55 please don't encourage making changes for the sake of "feeling new". "People" (me) do NOT want that. Nothing is more frustrating than a PM trying to put their thumbprint on a product by moving stuff around. I've ditched (or wanted to ditch) so much software for massive UI refreshes that didn't add value. Not saying that's what happened with Windsurf, but just reacting to the comment "maybe it doesn't offer any sort of performance gain or feature improvement....people want to feel like they're using something new"

I tried windsurf today, and I gotta say you guys have eased some of the frustrations that I had with cursor. PS, Kevin, if you are reading this, I’ve been looking for a jacket like that for a long time if you don’t mind dropping a link.

This sounds awful. Competing with a bunch of devs who can’t understand the ai results they are getting and the managers who don’t value experienced devs with real knowledge! Time to retire or change careers, I think Mc Donald’s is hiring.

I tried it, and loving it! Cursor is good, so if this is better, I’m going to be ecstatic

How does it compare to Zed?
@syntaxfm11 күн бұрын
In my experience, Zed is still pretty raw and missing many small features that VSCode does well.

Wes I had a theory on Bluetooth u may know. Does a given Bluetooth device like say an iPhone have the same id that shows up to the web Bluetooth around me so if say if a person say buys a coffee the coffee shop can know the human name of the person and what the person bought and knows their phone Bluetooth id. Now say they sell that so the person walks into idk a mall and a Bluetooth reader matches that id and says oh James who likes coffee just walked in. Is that possible or is there no recurring id for a given device
