the other day I went for some 511 jeans to replace my old 511 jeans, and now they aren't skinny, now they are slim :( I miss the old 511 skinny jeans...

@townshipps : I agree, if you know how to shrink and mold 501 Shrink to Fits to your individual size, they are truly some fantastic jeans and among the best you can buy for the price you pay. Having said that, being that I am slim even for my age, I really like the fit of the 511's; however, I don't like that the majority of them sit below the waist and are somewhat lowriding. I got over sagging and riding low many years ago.

Did they change the 511's, or do different colors have different fits? I ordered two pair online (one medium grey, one light grey) because thoroughly enjoyed the dark blue pair I bought in a local outlet (but they where very old and worn). All three have a different fit, while the dark grey had four back pockets (two of which had zippers, early 1990's style). Very disappointed if this is the new 511.

the cut is the same, but now they renamed their lines, so the 514 is called straight but fits the same, so the 511 fits like it fitted before :)

501 Original fit 502 straight tapered 510 skinny fit 511 slim fit 512 slim tapered 513 slim straight 514 regular fit 519 extreme skinny 541 relaxed fit I buy dozens of levi's these are the most common ones, My favourite is 541

It is interesting to see the 502 code reintroduced. Originally they were 501's with a zip rather than buttons. They were made for the UK market, where no one wanted jeans with a button fly. Back in my younger days, no one here had even heard of 501's. The first specific female fit jeans had the code changes to 601 or 602. In those days, men's jeans had 5 as he first digit and women's jeans had 6. Later, a 9 code was added for women with big butts and a small waist. 😊

I remember my school days when we used to use that pocket to get rid of our cigarettes when we heard someone coming. Being denim inside and tight, it put the cigarette out instantly and saved having to pinch it out with our finger first.

These jeans are great, except way too much excess fabric in the calf region. It doesn't look like it in this pic, but the jeans bulge out at the calf and then taper in again at the opening. It's annoying because otherwise these jeans would look great.. just like in the pic at the end of the vid

All the 511's I've seen or known are slim fit n not skinny... Is this a skinny version of 511 newly introduced or is it a mistake where u guys r calling it skinny?

This video is from 2011, back in 2011, skinny used to be 511, and 510 was extreme skinny, but then they changed the 511's name to slim, and the 510's to skinny. After doing this, they experimented with the "ex-girlfriend" jean but it was probably a flop or a one time thing because they discontinued them and added the 519 which was a replacement "extreme skinny" jean for Levi's.

Fits have changed. 511s were the skinny, now its the 510, but 510 nowadays fits like 511. 511 today fits like 513.

If you're a skinny guy (unlike that model), be aware that the 511 will probably be too baggy for you. Try the super skinny fit, but go a size smaller, because they stretch out a lot.

@AlwaysClean14 : The 511 Skinny Fit jeans are cool; however, I hate all of this low rise shit that seems to be the standard in jeans these days. I don't like to wear jeans that feel like I'm sagging. I have two pairs of 511 skinny fit corduroy jeans and it feels like I have the need to lift them up every now and then. If Levi's or any other jean company made skinny o/ slim fitting jeans waist high or just slightly below the waist, they would be perfect.
