I love Old Navy jeans and I got lucky thrifting some sky high straight style and they’re my all time favorite jeans. I haven’t been fortunate with the fit of other used jeans except for some old Gap jeans that are 100% cotton high waisted jeans. I can’t believe how long it took to discover Old Navy!

This was very helpful! I have a similar body type to you except I am 5'8". I may have to try out some Everlane jeans

This was so helpful! I'm also petite and my waist is just one inch bigger. So it's super helpful to know the sizing differences. I'll be watching this on repeat. 😊

I think the difference in the rear rise on the Levi’s and Everlane pairs might have to do with the “V” seam just above the back pockets. On the Everlane pairs, this seam has more space between it and the bottom of the waistband, whereas the Levi’s pairs have less space in this area. I think this space might give the illusion that the rise is higher! Might also have to do with a difference in the amount of ease, or something else with the construction that effects the actual fit (maybe something with the inseam or crotch area, like you said). 😊 I have one pair of Rag and Bone jeans I got in brand-new condition for like $20 on The Real Real probably 3 or 4 years ago. The rest of my jeans are all vintage! I have two pairs of vintage Wrangler jeans that I got about 2 years ago (both only cost me around $15!), I picked up another pair of vintage Wranglers this year (cost around $30), and I have a pair of vintage Tommy Hilfiger jeans that I got a little over a year ago (cost me about $25)! Like you said, it does take awhile to find brands and styles that work best for your own unique body. I struggled with jeans for years and years- never being 100% happy with the fit of pairs I’d have. Now I can pretty easily find a great pair online (by comparing my measurements with the garment measurements) and have confidence that they will fit the way I want. 😊

Jeans are my arch nemesis! I am a petite hourglass. My waist is 20cm smaller than my hips. No matter how much weight I lose or gain. It's near impossible for me to get jeans that fit both waist and hips. I do wear jeans, but they are never comfortable, no matter what brand I buy. I've tried the curve designed in many brands, with no luck. Worn with a belt, it just makes them pucker and even more uncomfortable. I do find midrise is so much better than highrise for me, though. Ahhh, one day maybe I will find my dream jeans 😄 Thank you, Val, as always 💙💛

I’m not an hourglass girly but I do follow another girl here on KZbin named Michel Janse and she’s very hour glass figure too. She has some recommendations for your body type. She really likes Abercrombie & Fitch. They do have petite sizes online 😊

I am petite hourglass myself. 5'3" and jeans were never comfortable for me "in the old days." I'm old! So what is helping at this point is...menopause! I guess my waist has thickened a bit, and that has combined with some stretch in jeans, different fabrications and styling so now jeans are a possibilty. But definitely not ALL jeans. I am finding I definitely prefer mid rise and also I think ultimately that straight leg is more flattering on my figure in my opinion, and gives me the look I am going for most of the time at my age. Straight leg is just more versatile, too, going many places depending on the shoes, accessories, etc. I have tried a couple of the Everlane and I am really liking the cut as well, like the video creator points out. I will look for more of these in resale. Many jeans can be found on ebay for great prices and at many thrift shops. They are so durable they are a great thing to buy used and often people buy and try but end up ditching things that didn't work for them. Good luck!

I have been wearing Levi’s since 2008 and have never looked back! They make the best denims ever ❤ However, a conscious decision has been to choose the ones with min 85% cotton, or even better, 99-100% cotton jeans :)

I thought my favorite jeans were from Abercrombie & Madewell. Until I discovered Everlanes Way High Jeans and have since ditched my other jeans 😅 they’re sooo comfy, have some stretch (for lunch) and I don’t feel suffocated or restricted! I have tried on my old jeans and simply CANNOT wear them anymore. I didn’t realize how uncomfortable they are 😮 I’m 5’5 and my waist measurement is 14 to 14.5 as well but I’ve come to find out the most flattering fit of jeans on me are high waisted (atleast 11 to 12 inches). I now own three pairs of Everlane jean’s ❤ I’m planning to buy a fourth pair off poshmark 😉

Hello! I have been considering trying Everlane jeans- do the Way High jeans stay up okay for you? I always have an issue with my high rise jeans falling down and I don't want to have to wear a belt with every outfit lol
@yazzybananas3106 Жыл бұрын
@@amandathompson7691 they stay on perfectly fine for me. No belt needed! I even tuck in a lot of my tops too. ☺️ I do have a decent sized butt and some tummy maybe that helps them stay up? I’m normally a size 28 in other brands (Madewell, Old Navy) but for Everlane and Abercrombie I’ve found out I’m a 27. So if you’re in between sizes like me size down. Or, do what I did. Go to one of their store locations and try them on first if available to you 😊 hope this helps! ❤️ I can provide my measurements if you think that will help too.

Hi! I was looking at buying the Everlane 90s Cheeky Jean and was thinking of getting the 25 or 26, since I’m a 25-26 in Madewell Jeans. I know that Everlane sizing is weird though. What is your waist measurement for reference?
@ValKovalchuk10 ай бұрын
My waist actually measures 28, but I like my pants to sinch me in a little, so I usually pick a 26 waist
