It's so genius. He used the "off-scale" notes to act as a key change, the same way songs do sometimes, where everything stops and it just changes keys, and it works so well, there's like a certain groove you find and your brain just stops cringing at the dissonances in the notes and suddenly there are no scales and all notes sound good, it's so weird.

It sounds like a distorted glitchy world made out of machines and it all connects to like one big sentient computer. 11:40 - 12:08 sounds like your in a broken down overgrown lab and you see a big tube holding some sort of failed creation and it starts breaking out, or a scene where two characters (maybe one evil) and you find out lore about something evil. I love it, it gives me so many ideas for what it could be for

It's interesting how one can make unexpected and weird intervals more bearable by putting them into context. You've fixed like 80% of the main bullshit melody by adding stuff aroud it in an appealing way. Bass pad did magic things, too :3 And the plucky arp is actually like a sound effect, seems completely normal and usable.
