REVIEW: Levis 510 Vs 512 review. Skinny fit vs slim taper. What's the difference in fit between these two jeans cuts for men? Let's find out, starting right now!
The Levis 510 skinny fit jeans, are the snuggest fit above the knee, between the two jean cuts. The 510 sits at the waist, and is skinny from the hip and thigh, all the way down to the ankle. They hug the body from above the knee, all the way down below the knee, ending with a skinny 12" leg opening. The 510 jeans have a half inch bigger rise at 10.5" than the 512 jeans, while also sitting higher at the waist.
Now, the Levis 512 slim taper fit jeans, are the looser fit above the knee between the two jeans cuts. The 512 sits below the waist, and are slim from the hip and thigh instead of skinny, and taper down to a slightly smaller 11.5" leg opening.
They are slightly snugger below the knee, since they taper down to a slightly smaller leg opening. The 512 fits similar above the knee to the Levis 511 jeans but with an added taper. They also have a half inch smaller rise at 10" than the Levis 510 jeans. And again, the 512 jeans sit lower, below the waist.

The Levis 510 skinny fit jeans are the snugger fit above the knee between the two cuts. With about an inch less upper thigh room, while having a slightly bigger leg opening at 12".
The Levis 512 slim taper fit jeans, are the more relaxed fit above the knee between the two cuts. With about an extra inch of leg room. They are also slightly snugger below the knee ending with a 11.5" leg opening.

Thanks man. The 511's were the first Levi's jeans I wore daily but then I started to think that they could look sharper with a taper so I started trying other Levi's jeans. I find I don't really wear the 511's anymore. Well not really, I don't wear them anymore. I can see the 511's working better with bulkier shoes when the 512's leg opening is too small, although I mostly have shoes with a slim and simple aesthetic which works better with a taper imo. I'd definitely give them a try if you like the 511's but want a taper.
