Great review of the fan So much tech to all these things now. I got a Alexa but don't control anything with it to much tech for me lol. But if I went into it I could do it 😂. You can hear that more then the 1st one you done a review on I think. Well done though for showing us how it works your very up to date on all the tech stuff. That's nearly as tall as me as I'm only 5ft lol 🤣 Xxx

Have you developed a Fan Fetish, Yung'un? I control everything via Alexa from lights to my Nest heating thermostat and you have just driven her crazy, seriously crazy. That looks quite a tall fan but also a good one. My Alexa said "Sorry I cannot find a device or group named fan". I have an Alexa on my study room next to my desktop and I have had to mute the mic . I actually have 6 Alexa in my house all linked which is good for music.

Hi Vince, I’m sorry about that. I didn’t know how to tackle it, when I edited it kept switching on and off. We had a few sockets and lights operated by Alexa. When we went to a high band width most of them wouldn’t work. 🤷‍♂️🤔👋👋👋👍

@@grahamgetsabout2672 But via Zigbee or via Wifi - Alexa supports both. It could even go via web API to Alexa. This makes a huge difference in the integration and reliablilty.

@@grahamgetsabout2672 Yeah the fan surely is quite good, but from the values it still trails a Meaco Sefte by some bits. I would hope it can be integrated into home assistant - which has an integration for some other Levoit devices - because otherwise not possible to decouple the auto speed temperature measurement from the location it's placed. I often place a fan in front of a window so I can suck in colder air from outside - however the auto speed would slow down too much if it takes the fan location temperature instead of the actual room temperature. Considering that a smart plug does not even work with Levoit - that kinda means if it doesn't integrate into Home Assistant It's a pretty big fail for a smart home. Meaco Sefte isn't smart - but at least works with a smart plug and can short the cables and insert a tuya voltage controller plus a voltage adjusted PWM convertter to make it smart. (plus Meaco has about the best track record when it comes to reliability of fans in the market - it's just another 50% more expensive, plus 30-40€ for the controlling kit so ends up nearly twice the price and some time fickling to get it done, at however twice the efficiency when it comes to power use. The Sefte is crazy efficient and at 20w will create nearly twice the airflow of the 42" Levoit).

@@grahamgetsabout2672 Well by now I got it, the smart software is one of the biggest pieces of rubbish I have encountered. It's worse than a non smart fan, because you cannot use it via smartplug as it boots to standby. Some problems. Home Assistant cannot recognise it. If I boot it via app, then the remote control and button on the fan cannot control the swing function. They work only if I boot it via button. Also sometimes via button maxspeed is 10, sometimes 12. Worse is however the automatic timer/sleep function. Once it switches of the the fan - it switches back on the light. What a piece of crap. Besides only at speed 1 it's pretty quiet - at 2 it's already quite loud. It really would need speed 1.5 - at the other hand from 5 upwards the speeds are all very similar.
