@@KaleLikesWaffles you can say its looks its pretty close to the 80's (the clothes and haircut, the colours and filtres) but there are some elements un the music that almost Scratch the 60's (like the voice) so id say its an aproach made from a mixture of elements from a blurry past time. After all, its almost impossible to determine when a trend started. You can say "i remember when i was a kid everyone used to wear a certain type of shirt" but can't Tell the exact moment when that wave started. To this thing web got to add that those kind of artist try to emulate a space of time when they werent even born so its pretty difficult ti be accurate on 100%

I would say that Loretta is a femme fatale, using her presence as if that is everything he needs, but he knows it is not true, so that is why he is the real one fooling her for a very long time, mockingly saying that how they are supposed to carry on because he is too tired of her attitude or sarcastically provoking her to use other methods to finally conquer him. He is winning the fight.

When Ginger Root was introduced as one of the foreign City Pop tunes in Mariya Takeuchi’s radio, I found myself pulled into Tokyo nostalgia and couldn’t help thinking of future City Pop tunes. I am so happy I found your music. You've really captured that 1980 City-Pop vibe. I am proud of your melody line, the emphasis you put on the words "finally whisper" to then climb the scale of notes. Great job.

Here’s the lyrics if any of you are interested! : Loretta, I see you walkin’ now and then, Loretta, I see you coming near Why's it oh so hard to turn back and finally whisper, “How are we supposed to carry on?” Well, I've got to for now Forget her, and everything she said, she lied I met her, morning noon and night Well, I'd say I fooled ya So, Loretta, you never won the fight Why's it oh so hard to turn back and finally whisper, “How are we supposed to carry on?” Well, I've got to for now (Music) Loretta (I’ve got to) Loretta (I’ve got to) Loretta (I’ve got to) Loretta
