Oh man you guys covered so much. I think I have learned more about history from your channel than in school. That expedition had to be tough for Gov. Lewis!

We definitely saw a ton of stuff. The good thing about sites like this is that you can get in and out within 30 minutes, so it doesn't take up a ton of time. I honestly didn't know much about them. I had, of course, heard of them, but that was pretty much it. I love going to these places so it forces me to learn a little more. Very interesting lives they must have lived.

You both had quite a busy trip with lots of great stops!! I didn't realize Lewis was Jefferson's personal secretary. I've heard lots of stories about Lewis and Clark and their explorations, how cool to get to stop and see a true historic connection to them. Mysterious circumstances - fascinating! A cold case of history. So sorry we had been so behind! Hope you and Akane are both doing great!!

If you ever have the time, watch "Lewis & Clark: The Journey of the Corps of Discovery", a 1997 documentary by Ken Burns. Runs about 3.5 hours. It details their entire journey to the Pacific and back. Very entertaining and moving. Sad ending for Lewis. Glad you're enjoying your time in the US!

Wow! Thanks for the recommendation! I really do love learning about history - especially when you get the chance to "see it" in person, so I'll try and find it. From my understanding, both Lewis and Clark would have led very interesting lives, so I'm sure that documentary is packed full on interesting stories!
