Hey! A few q's. Wondering how long the entire process of making the video took and how you + team came up with the idea!

hey catherine, the idea of the video was drawn from the song's concept, which speaks to the multitude of media we consume, and the ways in which it affects our relationship to the world around us. the collaged and fractured feeling of the video aligned with that idea, and we drew on a combination of archival and personal footage in order to really bring the idea full circle. the video took about three weeks to make, and was all done by hand. it's about a mile of physical images.

it definitely took forever. it is stop motion, and it's entirely made by hand. the end result was almost a mile of physical images. incredibly labor intensive, took a team of five people to create.

What kind of advice would you give to musicians who are just starting to learn how to play an instrument?

practice everyday. even if it's for only twenty minutes. it's very important to make your connection to your practice a ritual, especially at the beginning. also seek out material to learn that you have a connection to. anything you can do to get excited about practicing will help you build a positive relatioship towards doing it :-)
