Slavery is Freedom, War is Peace I do watch other motorsport, I am also an engineer at audi. So, first of all, F1 is not for pussies, do you need more balls to drive rally? -Yes, but if you want danger watch gladiator fights or whatever, because not everything is about the danger. Every single driver that is in that car (Mazepin and Stoll included) can destroy most if not all rally drivers. They aren’t f1 drivers, they are the best drivers in the world. Do you know what it takes and means to be an f1 driver and the morale boost the team gets to have an ex-f1 driver in their team. No you don’t so stop bitching about greenhouse gasses, and their yachts, because the first doesn’t matter for sport and the latter is earned. Hell, I spent 7 years of my life studying to get paid a tenth of what they do, but I respect their talent and skill, and so should you.
@corruptcentral79924 жыл бұрын
Slavery is Freedom, War is Peace Also you said “in one season of F1 each team pumps out more greenhouse gas than the average person does in 10 years”. So lets break it down, id 1 person does 100% in 10 years, then 10 people do that in 1 year, or 3650 people do that in 1 day. Each team consists of at least 300 people, across the year (season) they only output as much ad 10 average people. I don’t think that is the issue causing global warming, how about you?

@johntsoukas87235 жыл бұрын
@@8-bitsteve500 Actually he might be considered as the best ever in 15 -20 years from now.For a very good reason.The only thing he was missing in my book was Prost's unique abilty to maintain his car and tyres in tip top shape during the race and giving everything in the end winning the race because he was very fast without braking down the car.This was a unique ability of Prost and the reason he was called the professor.Hamilton was more of a Senna than a Prost.Extremely fast and a bit careless and risky at his first two years ,like Verstappen ,but not crashing or torpedoing people.He became more of a Senna and since his last year he became more of a Prost.You see he didn't make a single mistake in the second half of the year,not one!!!He won his 5th championship in a car that was more robust and trouble free,but not faster than Ferrari.He conquered the ability to maintain the car as best as possible while being the fastest man around.He completed the puzzle.He became complete,no flaws.HE MADE MERCEDES FASTER THAN FERRARI.HE.Two years ago at the first half Ferrari looked the better car.You people don't understand that these last 3 years adding this one that just finished Ferrari and Mercedes were extremely close.He made the difference.if he was racing for Ferrari he would still make the difference in favor of Ferrari,and he would still have won these 3 championships.THAT IS A FACT!!!I am watching F1 since 1977.I have seen them all.When he will decide that it is enough he will be regarded as the best ever 15 -20 years from now ,because the legend grows by time.Senna was incredibly talented and a perfectionist,but he was a very dirty driver at his first 5 years.He made Verstappen look like a schoolboy.His legend grew because of his untimely death and made some things forgotten.Schumaher was a very dirty driver also,until the end of his career,while Senna at his last 2 seasons became more humane and didn't send everyone that tried to pass him to the barriers.Schumaher did this until the end.His Ferrari was half a lap ahead of the second car from 2000 until 2004 and at 2002 and 2004 the car would make Maldonado a world champion.There is a very small difference between Mercedes and Ferrari today.nowhere near how easy it was for Scumacher and Vettel,who won 4 consecutive championships because of a rule that the engines couldn't be upgraded for 4 years and so the car that was by far the best with huge difference to the second best car was Red Bull.Whoever was in that Red Bull would have become a 4 times world champion.That is not the case with the Mercedes vs Ferrari of today.

It’s mindblowing how good he is at managing and using weight transfer to his advantage in order to keep momentum, considering he’s not spent much time pushing a car like that to its limits. @@sqlevolicious i think the more correct question is "who would've thought that Mercedes would be one of the most dominant team in F1 history." After their more or less lackluster early years. Many doubt Lewis's move on joining Mercedes, but turns out the rest is pretty much history
@Allyphant29094 жыл бұрын
@SUPREME MEGATRON Absolutely. The 2007, 2012, and 2016 titles were lost for him by unreliability and team errors. He was arguably the best-performing driver in 2009 and 2010 and was unlucky to miss out through a variety of issues in those years.
@Allyphant29094 жыл бұрын
@ Except in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2017, and 2018. In all of which cars he won races and three of which were championship-winning seasons. Only 9 times in history has the world champion not driven for that year's constructors' champions. The last time it happened? Lewis Hamilton in 2008 when he won the title in inferior machinery with a team-mate who came 7th in the championship with two of the greatest wet-weather drives in the history of the sport (from a guy in only his 2nd season) along the way. In 2017, his team-mate finished behind a Ferrari and in 2018 behind both Ferraris and a Red Bull. In 2017 and 2018, Ferrari had the fastest car on a plurality of weekends and Hamilton had to come from behind at the halfway point to eventually win both titles by two clear race wins worth of points. The only man to have ever won in every car he has ever had and yet people say he can only win with the best car. Unless he has had the best car every single year, this is factually wrong. I also think it interesting that Hamilton is the only guy who gets this charge levelled against him. Senna never won a title without a dominant car. Nor did Prost or Mansell or Fangio or Ascari or Lauda or Hakkinen or Clark or either Hill or Button or Schumacher or Andretti or, or, or....... It never ceases to amaze me how ex-F1 drivers, journalists, current drivers, mechanics, designers, engineers and so on all fall over themselves to talk about how Hamilton is the equal of any driver who has ever raced in Formula 1... you get guys like Alonso (himself an all-time great and who Hamilton beat in equal machinery in his first season in F1) who say that Hamilton could win in dominant cars, in good cars, and in bad cars and that not every F1 champion can claim that... there is a mountain of empirical evidence that the charge of needing the best car applies less to Hamilton than to mountains of previous champions... then you get internet randoms who go slating the guy for only being able to win in a dominant car. Ridiculous.

@kistosable4 жыл бұрын
Nobody denies that. I think Fernando is an overall better driver than Lewis, but I always say that Lewis is the fastest driver F1 has ever seen (maybe only Senna would match) and only comparable in speed with Sebastian Loeb in modern era automobile racing. But speed isn't everything. And although Fernando's speed was never what he shined for, you have to be really stupid to not see that Fernando is also a blood fast driver too
@codymiller19944 жыл бұрын
Javier costa henere Lots of people do actually deny that Lewis is a great driver. Plenty say “it’s just the car”. Fernando is a great driver as well though. As was Senna. As was Schumacher. There’s been a few truly great drivers through the years. I think people get caught up on try to choose the GOAT, when really there’s a few drivers that should be recognized for being fantastic.
@kistosable4 жыл бұрын
@@codymiller1994 trying to say who is the goat is actually quite silly, is more like a bar talk, you can spend hours arguing without reaching nothing clear. And that is because objectively, it makes no sense because who won or not has much more things involved than just driver skill. Also different eras, different cars, different tracks, different challenges... it's just too many things too much different. You can recognize different drivers achieving the same goal in different era have different amount of difficulty or challenge, but you can't measure that difference. So it makes no sense trying to approach that topic objectively
