What won him that race what was the speed he did down the hanger straight. 143 mph to be exact. All other drivers would probably be doing under a 100 at that point just to get the car to the pits, but this was the last lap and Lewis probably thought "*** it" I'm going for that win, it don't matter what damage I do to the car, it can be fixed afterwards.

I had a front left tyre go pop on my car, a 2 litre turbo, and I drove it 8 miles home and never got above 30 mph (and I did no damage to my alloy or front wing). That is what I'm talking about. Terza 45 doubt that’s true. There are other drivers who can do that, no doubt, but not just any driver. First of all, he put himself in a position where VER had to chase him down. Gaps are important. Not all drivers can do it. Secondly, driving on three wheels without damaging the car so that bits aren’t falling off and you’re forced to retire by race control takes skill. He was lucky in how the tyre fell apart, but at each corner, he has to coax that tyre round so that it maintains what little structural integrity it has, and so that he has enough left to push a little on the straight. Wasn’t skmply about finishing, but managing the delta to Verstappen. I reckon less than half the grid can do that.
