Nice upload with clear perspectives! Many F1 content creators seems shy from being upfront with opinions and tend to go with the F1/FIA spokesperson narratives. Mercedes surly were more interested in undermining Hamilton’s efforts over winning in 2024. I’ll be very surprised if Russel wins next season, especially considering the competition and HAM added to that list.

Mercedes want Max. Neither Hamilton nor Russell would make good teammates for Max. I doubt he would even be willing to join with those 2 there. So, they devised a plan to get rid of both. The first would obviously need to be Hamilton. Their 1+1 contract was meant to be their way out in case Max suddenly became available. Either way, they had no intention of doing a further 2 years with Lewis. At most 1. If Max is not available after 2025, they would have gone for Kimi instead of Lewis, to lock him down and avoid missing out on a potential generational talent like they did with Max. But Hamilton saw this shit coming from a mile away and exited on his own terms. Had he waited at Mercedes, he might have found himself without a seat and forced to retire. Hamilton will never be willing to fill up the ranks with no chance of winning. So he would effectively be out of the game. This was a power move by Lewis and Ferrari and took everyone by surprise. Mercedes more so than anyone else as you said. Russell. He is now the throwaway card Mercedes holds in case Max becomes available. If I were Russell, I would start making the rounds and looking for a seat. If Red Bull sucks next year (and they probably will, without Newey and other top talent), Max will bounce. His only options are Mercedes (if they are competitive) or Aston Martin (Newey is there, so they are likely to get good at some point). Mercedes are actively courting Max and have everything in place to convince him over. Aston Martin is a bit of a gamble. Either way, all the big team are clamouring for Max except for Ferrari. I hope they know something we don't and win that eighth for Hamilton next year while also winning their first constructors in almost 20 years.

@@brattpack Anyone who truly knows the sport and isn’t fooled by the stunts Merc has pulled since Abu-21 can see that Ferrari is in position to win both titles in 2025. Considering the pace seen at times, Merc had a chance for the title this season if the plan wasn’t handicapping Hamilton in most races.

Well said. Out of all the independant F1 channels I think you have what it takes to create a well revered site with appropriate content. Now if (F1) backwards, Mercedes dont win a constructors or drivers title next year we might well see a change of drivers there, and depending on how Red Bull end their season Toto might go hunting for Max. George is now under huge pressure and in the spotlight, and from what ive seen he tends to overtry, which sometimes works but often ends up in tears. He dosent take pressure well. Only my opinion. @Lewis_Everett1 you're right. He, or any drive would be frustrated to lose a Ferrari seat. But I also think he's right up there with Leclerc and the top 5 best drivers. His work ethic is one of the best. And he is one of the few drivers that can step up when the No#1 driver has a bad day. Shame Red Bull turned their nose at him. I think he could end up at Mercedes or McLaren after Williams. Given that Williams will likely be 8th or 7th in 2025 I think he'll be ok.

@Lewis_Everett1 agreed. I think even if he stays at Williams. He will likely get the team into mid tier level by 27/28. That in my opinion would be a great achievement. He will never be rated lower than top 5 for me. Lewis, Leclerc, Verstappen and Lando or Russell.

Love your analysis, its exactly what i think, lets face its not often that this happen but Lewis is bigger then the team. When he decided to exit the team everyone including sponsors will want to follow with him. Mercedes as a team in 2024 was in a fight for its survival as they stand to lose title sponsor and team personnel, once you have recognized this fact, you understand why Mercedes felt like they had to pull sink Hamilton while floating George.

Toto thinks he is doing well, keeping away George from the difficulties of the car, putting Lewis the hardest job. If George believes in Toto after his fierce efforts to buy Max, and choosing prematurely Kimi, he has to keep wide opens eyes. Next year there is no place to hide.

Weren't there rules about testing with two-year-old-plus cars or something like that? I think Lewis would want the most modern one, but if they want to keep strategems under wraps, it'll be an old one. Assuming the new one is even plenty near finished around the end of january. Princess Snitch is going to have his downfall next year, even though he did beat Hamilton overall during their stint in Mercedes. Doesn't even need to mean that much as Hamilton doesn't seem all to happy with snappy ground effect cars. Russell is plenty fast, but let us be honest ... he only has mirrors on his car to see himself better.

You do also know that alonso caused his own problems at McLaren with his actions towards Lewis and McLaren on certain occasions. It’s horrific that the reigning back to back world champion got beat on countback by a rookie. Speaks to the talent of Lewis Hamilton.

Factually wrong, Alonzo and Rookie Hamilton were joining Mclaren as new drivers. It is not the same as having your 12 year driver and championship winning driver being sidelined for your younger number 2
