Lewis Leathers (An original UK leather jacket)

Hi guys! I have been doing some research and found a company that made Leather jackets here in the UK as far back as the early 1900s!

These guys would have provided jackets for the original rockers back in the day. These motorcycle jackets are very high quality and many celebrities have worn them over the years such as Iggy pop , Steve McQueen, Slash, Sid vicious, John Lennon, Lemmy Kilmister, and Joan Jett. Great jackets, I've been wearing them for 18 years. The fit and quality is unmistakable, and they have a unique sheen and smoother texture in comparison to the typical US cowhide leather jackets here in America. There is a Lewis Leathers outlet inside a store called Stronghold in Venice Beach, Los Angeles.

Ive owned two. A 70s Lightning in sheep and an 80s Monza in cowhide. Amazing jacket but im an all American Schott Perfecto boy at the end of the day and I just couldnt pull it off. Considering a Cyclone in horsehide when i turn 40 though. Fun video. Hope you find your dream jacket. There's nothing like that feeling.

Yep, totally me. I only wear leather that has been thrifted/used, same with the fur pieces I own as well.

Awesome jackets. I own one from the late 70’s which I bought new. I also own a new one bought some years ago. The old jacket doesn’t have the same leather as the new. It’s much thinner and lower quality I suppose. I think the new one is far better.

I used to work with Peter Lewis ages and ages ago. What was up for discussion was his dad's Goldie 500 rocket that was stolen from the shop window.As there were known to be only 3 showroom examples known to exist at the time I would have thought there would be a good chance of recovery.

Nice video!! But I need your advice: I had my knife in my jacket a couple of days ago and I forgot to take it out and then I threw my jacket over my shoulder and the knife dropped in front of a teacher, now the principal wants to see my mum tomorrow because I didn't tell her yesterday to come today, so I want to tell my mom the truth that I found the knife and put it in my jacket for grilling sausauges and stuff, I want to be honest, but there's only 3 days left till I finish 9th grade and go to High School ( it's a different system here ), so I need your advice should I come clean or don't say nothing to my mom these 3 days left..
