Yes, I think that should be possible!

Yes that's possible! Plus you can also record in MS stereo with one LCT 640 TS, when you use omni and combine it with two figure 8 pattern.

As a lazy person, I use the free MSED plugin from Voxengo and get the bass out of the sides, which gives me a nice centered low end

Thanks for the great review! Do you still have the mic? What are your thoughts about it these days? Oh, and I was asking how it behaves with sibilances when recording vocals. I have an Audio Technica 4040 and though I like it I have to struggle with esses a lot... Thanks in advance!

Thanks for this - very informative. How does the Lewitt compare to your AKG C414 XLS (enjoyed your review of that as well)?

You‘re welcome! The Lewitt is quite similar to the 414 in quality and sound. I can‘t say that one is better than the other. Maybe the AKG is a little flatter in the top end. However, the Polarizer plugin of the Lewitt is very nice! Can be a time safer when recording.

That was my impression, but it's hard to make more than an educated guess based on youtube audio samples, so I appreciate you sharing your first-hand experiences. The ability to do stereo recordings with a single 640ts is interesting, but I wonder about its off-axis performance. Have you tried using it as a single-point stereo mic (sorry - I meant on other sources, ensembles, etc.), and what do you think about its sound off-axis?@@ZedMartyProduction
