@@grayhamgrayhamson1466 I've pretty much stopped using the MKH50. Last 4 videos or so it has strictly been the Rode NTG5 I've been using. When I worked as a background actor I found they also used the Rode NTG5 over the MKH50 because they found it has a darker sometimes muddy tone... It can sound great but it isn't a very forgiving mic like the Rode NTG5 is. It plosives easier, the speaking angle is finicky as well. The NTG5 for me is better with my voice and is simply more predictable when moving around.

@@grayhamgrayhamson1466 I found the Lewitt Ray sounds fantastic with the Presonus Quantum ES2 interface which has a nice warm tone almost like a tube AMPLIFIER gives.
