At the end of the day, Lex Luthor wins 9/10 times. Unlike the rest of us who are capable of cutting our losses, however, Luthor wants to make it so that he wins 11 out of those 10 times.

This is actually one of my favorite books, I've read it before this episode and it really got me into Lex's character. I know he's all ego, but I still find it reasonable that a man who had to work physically and mentally to get the power he has is overshadowed by a man who was given his power. I find that idea of Superman preventing human progression to be really interesting.

The other masterful element to the book is how this is all in Lex’s perspective. Usually with superman and his supporting characters, we know Clark merely wishes to help people with his abilities while inspiring others to do right. It’s this thought that gives the story a great sense of Irony. One man who believes his own ideals fighting An Ideal of man. Even superman admits Lex could’ve saved the world years ago if he didn’t hold such hatred for him. Which honestly puts lex in the top ten villains for me. Along with the book in superman stories.

I kind of what a Captain Cold version, just him and the Rogues planing to rob a bank, and get arrested by the Flash. During the story, Captain just talk about his relationship with Flash, their rivalry almost friendship but also his with the other Rogues. The introduction can just be them playing poker and planing. it could be used to introduce all the Rogues and some backstories. I imagine the end just him in a cell smiling, knowing he will escape or be release, and that his game of cat and mouse with the Flash will start again.
