This video breaks my heart. She was so much more than just a LGBTQ character, she was strong and resilient and most importantly she was open to change. I love how this video and the series itself shows how her sexuality is the least interesting thing about her. It's her personality, the things she did as a commander--those are the things by which we all remember Lexa.

I think that is what was so unique about this character --- you saw a person -- not a gay character. And I don't mean that in a negative sense --- I mean that in the greatest way. Can you imagine a future where we are truly defined by our character, not by our skin tone, sex, religion, or sexuality? Alycia Debnam-Carey played this character to perfection. I hope she is forever proud of her work on the 100....Heck I don't know her and I'm really proud for her! Just sad that she had to go kill zombies... :eye roll:

Lexa was an icon to everyone that fell in love with her or felt a similarity to her. She had been bought up thinking love and any emotion and the show of it was weak but she also showed how with just alittle help (clarke) how people can change and change their points of view in such a short time, how even the toughest of people can melt and soften and want to do better, not only for oneself but everyone else around them. She was a beacon to so many, a symbol of true strength, hope, courage and love. I just hate that they killed her off so soon and I am kinda peeved that we did not actually get to see her and Luna unite in some way, because in the end, lexas mindset had changed so much she was like luna and luna herself was such a strong and iconic figure too but alas, they also killed her off too. It just seems to me in series like this, the most people, even though fictional, that affect you the most and you build a sort of inner bond with they kill off because supposedly what the world is like, crap happens, get over it, heres someone else for you to connect to but hey, life sucks, they will die too, is that really the message these producers and directors want to give the world? That should you start to change become a better person, you will die a horrible death for it? I would love for the 100 to be done again with the same cast and for lexa and luna to not die, to me they were the most strongest people in the show, other then clarke, maddie, raven and others, that instead of the weird ending in season 7, that lexa somehow transcends and comes back for clarke and do the 'I will always be with you' and live the rest of her days with her, that would have been a real heart rendering ending seeing as they were both the love of each others lives. Long live the heda.

Her death, sadly, tainted the very being of the 100 for me (as for many others), in my opinion she did not need to die. That being said, it is fact and i must accept that. This video is amazing but what you wrote in the description just broke my heart😭 I also cried so so so much and couldnt docus on anything afterwatching the episode. And I'm still crying about her and I think the pain will never go away. Some people say she's just a fictional character but to me, she isn't. She means the world to me. And just like they did for you, clexa also made me realize and accept my sexuality and I am so grateful for that. I wouldnt be the person I am today without them.

So am I....2019. I think the plot of Lexa kom Trikru make the difference in THE 100!! It stretched far more the ways of a distopic series , is not one like many. Presenting the plot of Clarke and Lexa, btw Skykru and the Grounder Coalition, shows us the social interaction ,and the interpersonal relationships. That's mindblowing for me and for the whole fandom!.lots of ppl make desicions ,personals and socials , encouraged for the 100 S2 /3!!!! Great Moments of a great show!!!!😁😁👏👏💞💫

This is so late, but I had to say it. This is beyond perfection. I don’t even have words. The first time I watched The 100, I didn’t even like Lexa. And then after rewatching I liked Lexa but not Clexa. I honestly couldn’t see why people were so upset with her death. Now, I’m actually obsessed. She is one of those characters who you feel the loss of throughout the entire show, regardless of whether they’re mentioned again or not. She was powerful but not above love. In season 5, we need something like Clexa. I love Bellarke, but Clexa was so raw, I guess. Everything was done so well between them before her death. After that, I still liked season 3, but especially in the city of light, the Clexa scenes felt fake. Before that, though, it was probably the best relationship of the show, maybe tied with Linctavia, until Murven becomes canon. Sorry for my rambling, but it’s amazing edits like these that really made me fall in love with the character of Lexa. This was beautiful and just left me speechless.

I recognise myself in your story. I went through the self discovery emotional rollercoaster with Tara in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I'm 30 now, but Lexa/Clexa made all the old pain, emotions and feelings resurface again. Lexa still has a hold on me. It still amazes me how much a tv show character can influence my daily life. Somehow I think it's because as an awkward teen (and a semi-adult) I've always preferred fantasy over reality. I LIVE the stories being told in these tv shows.
