Cinnabon’s foam pad reminds me of the “Cat Trap” meme. Put a square made of tape on the floor and the cat will come sit within the square. I saw a youtube vid where someone tried to explain the behavior, but beyond it having to do with a confined territorial space, I don’t remember the reason.
