Thank you! FINALLY someone who doesn't spit out positivity bs, quotes and telling people it's their fault, their limiting beliefs and their Toxic low vibes for what happens to them . The new form of bullying: telling people they are toxic and negative when they fall on hard times and ask for help or need to confide...sometimes bad shit happens to people and they need help. End of story

We (I hope that I am speaking for the others too) want Manolis Kellis again on this podcast. Not too soon. Let this episode settle in our minds a bit. Let COVID-19 mild down a bit. With a changing world and changing environment will come new perspectives. I hope to meet the two of you personally sometime in my life. Will be one of my best days.

This guest is really speaking honest revelation about an interesting aspect of life that many people dont understand. Its so true...this is why I believe many people are stuck in "depression"...they dont evaluate and embrace the sad situations in life, because they have seen too many disney type movies or some other form of "entertainment" thing, suggesting that everything is supposed to be joyful or overly happy (imagined) all the time, rather than the fact that life isn't. And as a christian, we often get misrepresented as such. person as well. We dont always have life that is "joyful" or happy...we choose to see each day, be thankful and grateful for each day, whatever life brings each day and rely on God, for help through each day. I suppose you could say, I am addicted to Him, rather than what the world offers. I won't get into too much here. The world can be a very harsh manipulating tool for a lot of people searching for meaning and purpose. And it's detrimental to developing acceptance of being content in life, at any stage of life. (these are my thoughts and opinions in general). I also believe this is why people have "addiction" issues, that affect specific centres of the brain. As "drug of choice", release temporary euphoric/enjoyment receptors regarding the fulfillment they are seeking. Not sure why alcohol is one of the more popular choices, or why fendtenaol is another choice, each has consequences, short or long term. Possibly accessibility?, or demographics?, And not all are ingested via mouth either, some addictions are visual and received through sight. Or like this man was talking about reading "stories", they can be heard as well. But all of them reach the brain and cause the same or similar effects to reduce stresses. All are temporary, which leads to getting more. And the individual, under "stress" then needs to quickly achieve a "way out" of being in that state of "sadness", with whatever they are addicted to..(so many different ways of achieving a peek/tweak)...the end result is never coming to the conclusion that you must learn in difficult circumstances as well, that the state of sadness doesn't have to be seen as permanent, but something temporary and passing. Knowing that you will get through such a down time. The opposite is true as well, joy and happiness come and go. It's just life. Embrace all of it. There needs to be a course in school...mandatory credit for this stuff. But I also believe the educational system has built itself up on a "factory" of not teaching the reality of life either. Just about achieving and reaching something that isn't for everyone...and letting a lot of students down along the way. Which may lead to confusion regarding "purpose in life"...which can lead to depression and later, addiction. To which I have seen a great deal of. What I mean is, too many options and not necessarily focussing on a child's primary interests early on. If schools narrowed the overall experience down to what the child showed optimal potential in or was interested in, early on, they could focus on their main interests, rather than subject them to doing everything besides that. As we know early development is a key factor in much adult behaviour. I always hear that people never wanted said "job", but settled anyway. As they aspired to be "this or that". And thats kinda sad really, it's like we build people up for a greater let down, and somehow say, it's their fault for not striving for their dream, for not focusing on that. And if they just settle without pursuing something of interest, they aren't seen as successful. Im ranting...I just have so many thoughts about this...and I have seen depression take lives (suicide), because of not understanding the sadness of it, and its purpose in life. Disclaimer: I am not an expert in anything, just curious and always thinking about these things...✌🏼

Idk who this guy is but I like him a lot. He doesnt try to pretend that negetive emotions dont exist. I hate people because they are all delusional and say that life is great and if your deppressed than it must be your fault for thinking of negetive stufff all the time. For example: if I say I want to kill myself how many of you instantly feel uncomfortable and wants to say that I'm just being edgy or looking for attention? Most of you would want to say that because it makes you feel more secure that you will always be able to control your negetive thoughts,it doesnt matter if I can't but as long as you can be happy than everyone can be happy and life is great. I'm sorry its hard for me to articulate what I really trying to say. I cant speak or write well.

The reason stories don’t have bad endings is because that’s a totally pointless story. We watch, read and listen to stories so they teach us something about the world that we may use to contend with the suffering. A film where everyone dies is just a waste of everyone’s time. We’re trying to say something about the world that is hard to put into words, ‘life is suffering’ is already self evident.

"Unless suffering is the direct and immediate object of life, our existence must entirely fail of its aim. It is absurd to look upon the enormous amount of pain that abounds everywhere in the world, and originates in needs and necessities inseparable from life itself, as serving no purpose at all and the result of mere chance. Each separate misfortune, as it comes, seems, no doubt, to be something exceptional; but misfortune in general is the rule." ... Arthur Schopenhauer, philosopher
