It really seems like we are on the verge of what will be yet another technological transformation of how we live. So exciting in my opinion

absolutely excellent. the finale of the conversation hit a major point. I was at the edge of my seat screaming YES YES YES like a Daniel Bryan fan.... tell me more... great channel! extremely good information with numerous questions yet to be answered but in due time I'm certain these questions will be covered...

Just excellent! Wherever there is value for data Chainlink will be there to capture a piece of it.

What if I pull all of my Eth out of my wallet, how do you enforce my hand when I no longer hold the asset the contract can enforce?

I think IT engineers should talk more to lawyers so that they could obtain a better and more realistic understanding of what lawyers do and what most conflicts are about. Most conflicts in construction (my expertise) involves both legal and factual disagreements between sometimes multiple parties and multiple contracts and also third parties ( no contractual relations) and often all at once. The potential relevant information of any given future conflict is to large to predefine in any contract. A smart contract is not a data source, that can feed you with relevant and objective information on a conflict. Sure, more surveillance and more data would make it easier to determine the facts, but that has nothing to do with a contract. At best, smart contracts could be an alternative to custodians or deposit contracts. If you a rooting for a world with fewer lawyers, I think AGI is a much better bet.

This is quite a challenge indeed. It's one of the reasons EOS has had such a difficult time: people want a formal system that can do it all, and I recall some limitations to that idea lol. For particularly structured blockchains executing these smart contracts, it could be possible to think of them as an operating system (I used EOS as such a "particularly structured" example because its tokens are denominated as computer resources "RAM","net", "CPU"), and a grueling scientific endeavour could be undertaken to map common contract clauses to sets of "systems calls" that "are" the physical instantiation of that piece of natural language in the system. Something like that. It's so complicated but fascinating to think about questions like the relevance of contract languages that can be Turing complete. Even just trying to wrap my head around EOS trying to bootstrap its constitution into existence blew my mind. How do consitutions get going and under what authority? In politics we all know not to look too closely, but EOS just kind of blundered into trying to create the legitimacy and enforcement mechanisms of its constitution by exempting itself right off bat.

I imagine the general expectation is that reusable abstractions will evolve naturally whether it necessitates a domain specific language or not. What leads you to believe it will?

Oooooo, I'd like to see smart contracts for user data. I don't mind FANG knowing certain things about me but, with a smart contract you can make the data more fuzzy. I've heard that they know when you're on the toilet; I don't care if they know I'm home, but I don't want them to know the orientation of my body inside it.

I would like to hear more examples on how this could be use outside purely internet aplications. The search optimization contract was cool, the construction site helmet's is ridiculous.
