Ashley - Couple things that really relieved my plantar fasciitis. Stretching not only my calves but my hamstrings also 4-5 times per day. Believe it or not, jogging for 30-40 minutes 2-3 times a week strengthened my feet. It did not make them worse so long as you’re in the right shoes. Buying shoes with a “rocker system.” Nike Invincible Flynits or the Hoka Bondi 8 shoe. Finally, buy yourself a pair of oofos sandals. Yes, oofos. They’re unbelievable.

I've had a torn meniscus for almost 2 years now and have not been able to afford treatment until just recently. My whole leg is messed up from just walking on it without letting it rest because I had to, and seeing this is making me even more nervous for when they do massage and physical therapy for my leg/knee. I will soon feel your pain as well I am afraid
@imperialchalice
@imperialchalice Жыл бұрын
I’ve had this exact scenario happen to me four years ago. The physical therapy is a must. Even before my surgery it, combined with the therapy and extra treatments after such as muscle stimulation with a TENS unit, icing, and massage…I regained strength in my knee and started to be able to walk miles again. And it is important to continue stretching and doing the exercises they teach in PT even after your sessions are done. Imperative. I easily went back to hurting because I wasn’t careful and didn’t do the maintenance.

Neck and shoulders is what I have problems with, the very occasional frozen shoulder and general tenderness that goes down under the shoulder blade. When I was a young teen, I turned my head whilst lying in bed to look at my alarm clock before school and there was an almighty bang in my neck (right side) and one of the muscles had just snapped. I couldn't even sit up, the pain was like fire shooting down my spine. So now I have a lot of stiffness in the shoulders and neck and they're always crunching and popping.

I have a client I see every 2 weeks for a 2 hour session very similar to this. We have great fun, and it's so rewarding being able to help his body recover and reset.

I had my calves worked on today, as soon as she used her elbow into the knot I started to sweat, and I felt like I was going to pass out. It was an excruciating burning pain after I got done with my massage. I almost fell when I got off the table Kept having knots in my calves, but I had been to chicken to get them worked on until today. I see why I waited. Although I did not make as much noise as this guy, I wanted to.

It’s good he’s getting this don’t because if he didn’t he would’ve had way more issues then this. Just goes to show how important stretching and yoga are, never forget to stretch after working out.

I thought I had an arthrosisin in both of my hips before I tried a massage and acupuncture. You know, it's cap having an arthrosis at 19 years. Massage is mad painful but at least now I know, Imma be healthy soon. I'll be able to play like in highschool without feeling worried about my joints. Cause now I understand how to relax and look after myself. It's so damn breathtaking. Feeling inspired🎉

Gastrocnemius medial popped today when running from car to shop before it closed, felt like a rubber band snapped or like someone threw something at it and all of a sudden, can’t put weight on it. Suspect a minor sprain as it’s not swollen or bruised but time will tell I guess. Any rehab exercises you would recommend? Trying to walk on it normally where I can do it still gets movement but not pleasant!

Best advice? Do you have health insurance? If so you probably have some Physical Therapy on the plan. Give your doctor and call and say you jacked yourself up and need a PT. They should be able to free up whatever’s locked up, run you through a graduated workout regime that will strengthen the supporting muscles in a way that won’t further damage it. After they’ve got you back to fairly good, they will be able to give you some personalized exercises.
