I wore a $40 gown from Shein just this past September 14th as the VOG of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's Annual Legislative Conference, Phoenix Awards. President Biden and Vice President Harris speak at this event every year. One of the production assistants told me that the crowd hushed when I stepped off the elevator and people started whispering, "who is she?". I wore the dress for me. I'm a pastor revovering her life from a domestic abuse trauma almost 10 years ago. He was the senior pastor and highly admired for his gift. None of the ministry circles we traveled in have reached out or embraced me after decades of ministering together. I've been on my own... but God!! The night of that award show, God allowed me to hear out loud what He was telling me all along. You are beautiful. You are seen. You are heard. You manifest my presence and bring my peace and healing wherever you go. One young man told me I was the most elegant woman in the building. This is a star studded event filled with celebrities, politicians, media, etc. I'm with you on this, Lexi!! Thank you both for this authentic interview!! The emotions, the bondage, the fear, the expectations of friends, family and others is a huge pressure to keep up with when you don't got it. Loved how Lexi said, "when you are ready." I bought my 2012 infinity for 6500 cash and get compliments on how beautiful and luxurious my car looks. When I put my clothes on I get compliments almost everyday about my outfits and I'm proud to tell them it's Shein or thrift store. Best believe I'm the badest B when I walk in the room in my $20 dress. I always say if it was for me designer brands would go bankrupt. I am teaching these principles to my family

Yes, This is ministry. I sat in my office, listened to this and cried. God gave me revelation and reminded me this is what he has been saying. He was waiting for me to get tired of panting from the suffocation of debt. I don’t know if she was interviewed anywhere else. But this was so good! What gave me a breakthrough watching was when she said she didn’t know and after God dealt with her she was freed from caring too much about what people thought. I think sometimes our life traumas and pains makes us want to go towards the high life because how it feels. Thank God for this affirmative message!
