Well I have no idea of ranked Hom 3 gaming. But is there a rule against a second hero? There is so much stuff lying around wood, ore everything he had to trade at somepoint. The Second Hero just could have picked that up easily. So prohibited? Not worth it? Time issue?

I don’t play (online) myself, I only watch some of Lexiav’s videos. But from what I understand, the duel template which was played in this video only allows one hero. I have seen a few recent videoes where Lexiav bought a second hero on turn one, but delete it at the end of turn one. It was useful to start out the game and about in one direction and pick up a few resources.

that's a duel template where is only one hero allowed, in most other templates it allowed to buy as much heroes as you want
