BORN PINK album is indeed a new and experimental approach- at least for Blackpink. Sonically, it's different to THE ALBUM. For sure some people prefer the previous one because it's has more loud EDM instrumentals. However this album offers a fresh perspective from the girls, and their voices matures in this album even more.

I feel like at this point in time, it'll never be enough for some people when it comes to whatever BP does. People will always have something to say about them lol which is also why I thought Shut Down was fitting as their title track. Keep talking and they'll shut you down 🤷‍♀️ Anyways, I'm pretty much obsessed with all of Jisoo's parts in this album, most especially in Typa Girl and The Happiest Girl. Just something about her vocals and the way she's delivering it is so ahhh 😅 Lisa too in The Happiest Girl! Lower register ahhh Can't wait to see Part 2!!

Typa Girl is from American songwriter Bekuh BOOM who wrote or co-wrote a whole lot of Blackpink songs. She co-wrote their debut songs, “WHISTLE” and “BOOMBAYAH,” so she truly was with BLACKPINK from day one and met them when they were trainees. This is her only contribution to this album. She originally thought this would be sung by Rosie on her solo.

Honestly, Lisa and Jisoo's versatility on this album is just chef's kiss. This is my honest opinion, you got yours (blinks, non blinks).
