I have Punk Vermillion and I love it. It is the perfect warm pinkish coral. Depending on the lip pencil you use, it might edge towards more pink or more coral. It works wonders with people with fair skin and gold/yellow undertones. Along with Sisley Rouge Monaco, it is the best lipstick in my opinion for darker blondes.

I have once again allowed myself to be influenced by you Lexi. Moments ago I placed an order with Selfridges for the DVN Satin Lipstick 36 Neon Pink and the Jaspe &Ceramic Case. It's the pretty case I couldn't resist. I will use the Neon Pink to mix with other lipstick shades or simply dab onto my lips so I'm able to enjoy the beautiful undertone. Howevet I am waiting to hear from Selfridges for the return of shade 60 Revised Pink plus the purple and orange case. I hope DVN knows how many people you have sold these beautiful lipsticks to. It would be wonderful if they acknowledged you and your terrific video. Thank you again for all the work you put into the swatches. Love DVN! Agree with you, and I think Hermes also upped their lipstick formula as well. Compared to their first formula, their summer edition ones are pretty great imo. Love your vids wish everyone a wonderful weekend!

Im a chronic DVN addict entirely thanks to you! Your first DvN video was so enthusiastic it encouraged me to try a couple, and now Im sooo hooked. Ive slowly collected so many that, if I didnt use the stickers to identify them, I'd be totally lost. I have the same skin tone as you though maybe more muted? For some reason anyway, I cant wear peach or strong coral lip colours or very bright oranges without looking as if the wrong lips found themselves onto my face. So some of the DVN shades which do tend toward warmth and a coral vibe can take some work to wear. But others -- his nuanced reds and browns especially -- are wooh ... *chefs kiss* I very much agree that they're up among the very best lipsticks out there - my top 3 are now probably DVN, Prada and Lisa Eldridge.

I absolutely agree with your assessment of DVN's lipsticks - they are my ultimate fave in terms of color, aesthetic, and formula! My favorite shade is Archive Red (Matte 66), and I do think that it would be a shade that would look stunning on you. Your descriptions of a beauty product is always so apt

Lexi, love when you review the DVN lipsticks! I know I’m going to see the most orange & purple pigmented lipsticks. The mattes never look drying but oh so pigmented. I just love your videos, Lexi! Such great content! I'm with you -- DVN lipsticks are in my top three formulas! And the colors are to die for! The Cool Brown and Sheer Abstract Red are on the DVN website. I ordered them about three weeks ago. Ruby Jimmy and Uniform Red in the satin and Street Pink and Bad Pink in the sheer formulas are also reallly gorgeous! I love all three formulas! You can't beat the cases. So stunning! Once you have the cases, the lipsticks are reasonably priced, IMHO. I like ordering from the DVN website because you get fragrance samples and they come with beautiful fabric pouches made from DVN fabric.

These are def my fav matte lipstick formula. They last so long and somehow fade nicely and when you think all your lipstick must be gone, you look in the mirror surprised that it’s still there, faded but nicely faded. The satins and sheers are also great!

You're the lipstick gal, you look GREAT in every colour!!!! I don't look good in every colour ha ha, but I'm trying to get braver and get away from rose-brown/brown/rose 'my-lips-but-better'. As you may remember, I'm no longer engaging with Guerlain due to the new Rouge G case swindle, so I'm happy to convert to DvN because the cases are fabulous and the lipsticks look beautiful. Noten colours noted for Summer: Favorite Red, Punk Vermillion and Urban Pink. I hope to try at Selfridges eventually, our local dept store closed (sad state of UK high streets) and we can't return opened makeup (UK). Is there any chance you can compare Urban Pink with Hermes Rose Mexique? I just need to know if UP is darker/lighter? BTW, I prefer brights in matte.

Hi Lexi! May I ask that between Givenchy Sheer Velvet and Prada Soft/Hyper Matt and this dries van noten matt lipstick which is the least drying and most comfortable to wear?

Lexi can answer best but I will say I have one of the Prada soft matte (Caramel) and I don’t feel it is drying, matte but not uncomfortable at all to me.

I really think it depends what type of texture you want on the lips. The prada soft matte and givenchy sheer velvets are more weightless on the lips. I don't find either drying but the prada seems to be a bit more comfortable. The Givenchy deep velvet, Prada Hyper matte, and DVN are more similar texturally. None of them are drying on me and all are some of my very favorite formulas. I would rank them DVN, Givenchy DV, and then Prada HM in terms of all day comfort but they are all very close and are my top 3 followed by Hermes mattes which have improved over the years. Edited to include Sisley which are also great. I might put those about Hermes actually...

Now, these Dries Van Noten lipsticks are REAL luxury. Where have you been hiding this brand on us!!! I'm going on the website now to buy. First of all, I love their cases far more than the new Guerlain Rouge G, particularly in light of the whole Rouge G case controversy. I don't want to give Guerlain any more of my money. Hi Lexi, I stumbled upon this video while looking for Lisa Eldridge lipstick reviews. I had no idea Dries Van Noten made lipsticks, let alone that they are this good. Would you recommend the brand, since I can't get Merit in Europe? I was looking at the Ottoman brown shade, but it seems really deep on the website and slightly orangey. I have to be very careful because some lipsticks do turn orange on me. I'm not that great at understanding color, but I do know that blue undertone looks good on me. My complexion is light ( to medium in the summer ) and olive-warm, but I'm starting to think that my pigmented lips are cool-toned. For example, (and correct me if I'm wrong) the Westman Atelier lipstick in Je Reve is a darker cool mauve on me, whereas on you it pulls slightly red. DVN Ottoman brown color looks fantastic on your arm but is totally different on their website. Is it really that intense? I’d like a lipstick that enhances my lip color but that I can build it up if need be. For that much money, I would like to be able to wear it every day :)

Definitely! DVN lipsticks are incredible! They are so well designed and the colors are unique. Their swatches on the website are completely different than they are in person. If you want something that starts off sheer but can be built up, you might want to consider their lip sheers. 05 Graphic Ochre might be a good choice for you. It's cooler than ottoman brown and has a touch of brown and red in it. It's one of my go-to lip shades and you can build it up to the depth of a lipstick.

@@LexiJong@LexiJong I have narrowed it down to Cool brown (which looks gorgeous and deep on you - I compared it to Pique from WA, which looks even lighter on you than Cool brown, and Pique is a color I can wear without looking dead); Graphic Ochre, Favorite red (blue tones, right?), and Ottoman brown. In the spring, I might get something bright, such as Punk Vermillion or a pink shade. Let me know what you think.

I really like #17, Cool Brown, but it's nowhere to be found. I've never bought this brand, so I don't know. Will this color be restocked, or is Sold Out, really sold out? Also, in case you missed it, Dries Van Noten just retired. For now he says he will stay involved with the makeup line, but who knows? No word of his successor yet. Sorry for the bummer news. This is crazy!! This morning I got a 20% off email from Saks and I thought “I want to get a few DVN satin lippies! I know the new ones aren’t here yet, but I only have their mattes(Favorite Red is my favorite). I haven’t tried the satins or sheers but I’ve wanted to! This video was PERFECT TIMING for me-almost in a spooky way!! 😂😂 Folk Orange and Neon Pink look soooo good on you and summery! They go with the Coral Treasure Chanel Quad I got this spring. I’m not sure if I should go out on a limb and get them vs getting Romantic Nude and Revised Pink that I know I’d wear the heck out of. Hmmmmm. Maybe I’ll go half and half and do Romantic Nude and Folk Orange. I have Graphic Ochre sheer, Ottoman Brown satin, and Cool Brown in matte for the Fall! THIS WAS SO HELPFUL!! ❤

Your collection is goals! I had to order those new cases from Italy and paid $60 in shipping because I was worried I missed out on them and of course as fate would have it they are now available on the DVN website. LOL I still think they're worth it. I also have to agree what I love so much about DVN is the fact that their colors are so unique. I wish the cases were a little more weighty but I still love mine.
