Do you plan on doing any more videos like these? They're great, I would love to see you explore certain techniques that are commonly used in film to convey emotions/concepts, like fear, romance, or magic!

I love polychords I loved them since I was a kid and first heard star wars and Holst Planets. Stravinsky s opening of the second act of the right of spring is mind blowing. I dont know what it is though just that its poly chordal

@@MattiaChiappa I wanted to ask you about “Happy Birthday Variations” by the now 90 year old John Williams. During the piece WWinds take on the theme. I’m not sure how it is written though but it sounds really good. Possibly cluster jazz Voicings that leave the melody clear of the lower cluster colours or Maj 2nds ……. Or combinations with closed 4th. Or all of the above. Best Peter. The printed score is available however, I haven’t seen it yet.

Awesome Video covering Exactly the levels I went through on my composing journey as well. Thanks for refreshing my memory🔥🙌🙌 made it as far as polychords. found it quite difficult in the beginning but as I went through learning different genres like Gospel and Jazz, it really changed my perspective on those dissonances.

I love every single video...! Really, keep it up. Could you do a really classical approach like "making music in the style of Bach" or smth like that? I think we can learn from the big geniuses, right?

I created an extra vln patch by MiDi transposing within Kontakt to access a different sample pool then transpose back with a modifier to play the correct pitch. I use the same process to create extra solo instruments.
