Great update! I recently joined the ES club when I picked up a 1-owner, 2016 300h. I'm averaging about the same MPG in the South.

Go into the trunk and check the hybrid battery filter and you’ll see how dirty it is as you can’t tell by looking at the vent inside the car.

I have a 2021 which gets low 40s in the winter and low 50s in the summer. So far so good. I hope to have a similar long-term owner experience like you.

That newer gen with the bigger battery pack gets excellent gas mileage!

I just purchased one. Hope I get better mpg than that. I read the average is 39 mpg.

That's what the window sticker read on mine, but remember all cars fuel mileage will go down slightly with age and mileage. This is normal.

I am picking up a 2013, 180,000 km or about 111,000 miles. Should I be worried about the battery needing a replacement soon?

Wow good to see your Lexus dealership seems honest. Mine charges 200$ for an oil change for my Lexus es300h, No loaners all the time unless it’s a major repair. Car wash down due to construction… lol

Curious what you have run for tires and your preferred brand?? My only complaint has been the OEM Bridgestones wearing quickly. Replaced with Goodyear Assurance but too loud. Suggestions would be appreciated.

I've been partial to Michelins on a car like this. they tend to be very quiet, well made tires. I've had good results from them. I also like Cooper tires. Similar results. That's what I have on it now.

i just bought a 2013 es 300h at 127,000 miles, have you ever had to get the cooling fan for the hybrid battery cleaned out?
@caraddictusa5 ай бұрын
No. That is not needed normally, and it's not even part of any Lexus service on these cars because it shouldn't be an issue. If you have a mechanic telling you this needs to be done go find another mechanic. It's a scam.

Have you driven the ES350? Does it feel it has more power than the ES300h?
@caraddictusa4 ай бұрын
I've driven many ES 350s. They definitely feel more powerful. They have 68 more HP, so it is very noticeable. Obviously, the Hybrid's benefit is not in power but in fuel mileage.
@sktoh44694 ай бұрын
@@caraddictusa One more question if you don't mind. Is the ES300h noiser or quieter than the ES350? I have a 2018 ES350 and a quiet and smooth ride is a major plus for me. I'm thinking of getting a 2024 or 2025 ES.
@caraddictusa4 ай бұрын
@@sktoh4469 In my opinion the ES350 is quieter. It doesn't have the hybrid system, which does make some noise, and the 4 cylinder in the ES300h is a little buzzy. It also has to work a lot harder, so you have to push it more than you would the V6. The new V6 makes even more power than it did in 2015, so it wouldn't need to work that hard to move the car.

How’s the hybrid battery holding up? Did you have to replace it?
@caraddictusa2 ай бұрын
It's still the original battery. Still working fine.
@Qkfltpdls7772 ай бұрын
@@caraddictusa thank you for replying. Did you notice any symptoms with the current origin hybrid battery?
@caraddictusa2 ай бұрын
@@Qkfltpdls777 Yes, the battery doesn't last quite as long as it did years ago. It's a very gradual degradation, so it takes a while to notice. Having owned the car for many years I remember what it was like 100K miles ago. The more obvious tell is that I just don't get the fuel mileage I used to. It's dropped about 10 or 12%. I'm not complaining. This car owes me nothing. It's been fantastic.
@Qkfltpdls7772 ай бұрын
@@caraddictusa thank you for replying with details. Do you have plans to replace them? When you say reduced MPG, how low is it compared to when it has 100k miles?
@caraddictusa2 ай бұрын
@@Qkfltpdls777 It's dropped from 37 or 38 avg to 34 0r 35, so not hateful. I don't plan to change it out. It's still working, so no need. The cost of replacing is much greater than the increase in MPG. I'll only replace when it stops working.
