Lexus GS 350 Spoiler Installation

This is a full tutorial showing how to install a rear deck lid / trunk spoiler on a new body style 2015 Lexus GS 350.

TBH, your video had me about to order the eBay one, until I got to the part where it looks like you had trouble getting the corners to stay down. I'm a firm believer in, you get what you pay for, that being said I know dealers have a reputation of ripping people off. Luckily, I know a guy, who knows a guy, who got me a fair a price.

+azs406 Fair enough but getting the ends to hold down was the result of moving too quickly (single handedly) to attach the spoiler. The center touched slightly out of alignment and too early which prevented the spoiler from following the contour of the trunk lid. It had to be realigned (which I think I mentioned in the video) but afterwards had no problem getting tape to stick and ends to stay down.

Did you have to replace the springs? I bought a spoiler off eBay for my 2015 Lexus RC and it came with replacement springs?

+Chris3eleven No I did not have to replace the springs. These spoilers are molded plastic. Very light weight. There is no significant weight added to the trunk lid. And even if it was, I would expect the motorized trunk opener to handle a slightly larger load just fine. But good question because I have heard of these requiring upgraded shocks/springs.

I bought mine from eBay seller queenofparts13 for $119. They still have them available, just find your correct paint code.
