Glad to hear you arent keeping the car as a garage princess and fully enjoying it, such a unique build.

Been looking into this for my GSF. Thanks for the video and explanation.

What do you think about the calibration side of the things, I believe your abs module and boosters are different for the ones that usually come in the rcf track edition etc?

They appear to be different part numbers. I haven't noticed a change in bias or ABS issues, but I have not tracked this car to push the brakes to their limit.

When Car Care Nut reviewed the RCF TE, he mentioned how expensive the brakes are but vs Porsche Carbon Ceramic Brakes these are a bit low. But damn these things are super expensive, also Carbon Ceramic Rotors needed to taken care well, if any small chip the entire rotor is gone. Sad to see Lexus / TMC packs these calipers in bad way, saw one on IS 500 forum about the paint chipping. That said, fantastic video. Interesting to see there's an LFA part in them. Maybe I will get this upgrade once I have enough cash. It's a ton of cash for them...for that money I could honestly get the CF splitter + Rocker panels and if it works maybe even the CF Spoiler which is in the Carbon package of the RCF.

Did you need to use any spacer for the oem rims? (I read a few articles saying the caliper could rub against the rim for the oem gsf rim)

It's very close without spacers. Would recommend using at least a small spacer. I have H&R TRAX 15mm on each corner and that is more than sufficient.

So 80 pounds unsprung weight (or 320 pounds if you multiply by 4 to equal sprung weight), how would you say it has impacted the driving experience? Acceleration, braking, cornering?
@AllThingsF26 күн бұрын
Improvement in braking, acceleration a noticable difference, and as far as handling, I haven't done a lot of high speed cornering since the upgrade to really tell a difference. The brakes I have noticed need just a slight amount of heat in them (1 or 2 stops) before they perform better.
