Everyone made fun of the 8 speed transmission. This was not only the worlds first. It also brought a torque lock converter. Allowing the driver to fully shift the car manually via paddle shifters. They also made fun of the exhaust diffusers, the side fenders, & many more things. Fast forward today, most if not all competitors are doing the same thing. Let’s not even get started on the port & direct injection features on the marvelous V8 under the hood.

One of my all time favourite cars. If the gearing was a tad taller I think it could almost hit 300kph, seemed to still be pulling even from 260-270. EDIT: for some reason I thought it was a 6spd but it's an 8spd.

I bought a 2009 IS F in 2011, it was the best car that I’ve ever owned, fun, decently fast and Reliable… I never had an issue with that car, ever.. I remember back then it was kind of the ugly step Child in the segment it competed with, everyone was praising the M3, saying the IS F was too heavy and dull, funny how times change and now they’re extremely desirable

Awesome vehicle, nothing can take away the sound of a NA engine. I don't car how fast a EV are, they cannot match a real life engine. When the 2022 IS 500 F Sport debut in September that vehicle will definitely be a beast, with 472 HP NA V8 7,100 RPM 0-60 4.5 seconds.

Lexus = expensive Toyota BMW M6 v10 has 5.0 V10, 507 Hp and top speed 320 (vmax opened) 0-200 13 sec. BMW M6 technologie is comming from F1 E63, 6.2 v8, 514 hp, 630 nm 0-200 14sec, vmax 320 km h and official was it the best motor of the world in 2007 😉

Not only aren't we in Europe getting the IS500 but we aren't getting the new IS at all because Lexus decided we only deserve to have crossovers and SUV-s. Gotta love their logic: first they kill off GS, then pull the 3IS from EU market, leaving LS and ES as the only sedans available and then saying that "look, sedans are not selling so good there". No fkin shit if only 2/8 models you offer are sedans...

@@Mgoblagulkablong I hate it. I love Lexus, It's a pity they don't make proper models for European Market. Just bought a 2015 YM IS few months ago. Beautiful, comfortable, great driving and overall great car but only available on hybrid engine which is not super fast (economical though). Decent performance but this car screams more powerful engine. Too pity this is the last and only IS model in Europe. I'd love to have IS 350 but no can do. :( Sure BMWs and Audis are good cars but they are just not the same. :/

In previous videos I’ve seen signs pointing to Emden, Germany as he gets on/off the autobahn so that area (motorway 28/31) would be one of the spots visited. He’s also crossed the Netherlands/Germany border at the end of a few top speed runs and the only autobahn segments in the area that have a decent straight as they approach the border would be motorway 30/A1 (near Rheine) and motorway 3/A12 (near Arnhem) (German/Dutch motorway code respectively).

@@morganrutnum I have put the google maps locations into my comment. I dont think many would bother to wait for them there. The day has 24 hours and only people who have a car can actually go there. So only locals would bother to waste their precious time on that spot hoping to see them :D I live 150km from there and know this Autobahn as I have driven on it going to the Netherlands so I recognized it immediately. But even if I lived around the corner. I have better things to do :D I dont think many will bother them. No doubt some peoplke recognize them occasionally by accident. Dont think they feel too much bothered
