Lexus IS250 AWD - CLEANING DRIVEWAY.... Hi everybody; this is just testing the awd system of the Lexus is250. Few times during the test I turned off the traction control and turn on the snow snow power control... we got over 9 inch of snow over night.. so cant complain how the car handles the snow

Haha, just the way I like it. I love the awd in my IS, can't say it's absolute perfect but there's not been one single time I got stuck, eventually I got out. I live in long Island, NY. We received 100" inches this past season , including 31" blizzard 15'.

You need winter tires , period. We got 24" snow in 2/2016 and I still got thru 12"+ snow with winter tires. You got only 6"+ snow on your drive way and you had hard to to get up the drive way.

I hope that is just bad ties, cause my Subaru would not act so out of control in this situation. I know AWD systems are all different but this would never sell there AWD system.

My 06 g35 awd sedan had never had snow tires only all season Michelin I'm not bragging but I could go about anywhere.. when a plow encased me I never had to dig out but my neighbors did

Dude, it is not only about the AWD system... its about winter tires! With summer rubbers on the car, you have only plastic circles on your wheels.... the difference using proper snows would have no match in the way car handles and its capabilities ... I have a set of Dunlop WinterSport 5s and in the very same situation my wheels wouldn’t have a single loose spin... note that mine IS250 is RWD...

Toyota is patent owner for torsen system...its mean that quatro and subaru system based on torsen is similary that toyota have. In this Lexus you have that same torsen system like in Audi or Subaru ;) BMW have AWD system cars basend only on haldex...i think crap tires.

WOW! I wanted to look into the is250 for Lexus reliability. I have had two Audi's and I miss them terribly. Do you want to see what an Audi would have done?????? Make what you just experienced ten times worse and then watch an Audi Quattro make it look like a dailt walk in the park. I have to be honest, that Lexus awd performance in this video is PATHETIC! I would have driven that thing strait back to the dealership and demanded they take it back! Buy an Audi or Subaru and you will know exactly why I just said that. Sorry bro, but that was some horrible snow performance for an awd.

I turned off the traction control because I wanted to spin my tires a lot to really clean the driveway as I titled the video .... but i believe my tires are all season and not snow ... also i got this car for the moment, but I am use to more power.. I had a G35 and a G37... you can see them on my channel... I have thought about a subaru wrx....

Not trying to bag on you brother. Just surprised at the cars performance in the snow. I like Toyota and Lexus. We have two 4Runners. I just miss having a sports sedan and had higher hopes for the IS250 AWD. it is had to live up the quality Audi quattro provides. The Acura torque vectoring is supposed to be really good, but the cars are hideous. I really like the IS250 and its looks, I just wish it was a better performer so I could get that Lexus reliability.

+Adrizz5447 did you ever think his tires may not be suited for snow? not all all season tires are cut out for these conditions. my neighbor has a Forester, my wife and I own a 2010 and a 2013 RAV4 and we all three had the exact same tires. put on within a few days of each other. we got a big snow storm, roughly 22", and their Forester followed me. they didn't do any better..I also was the first one out too. their driveway and mine make a T. I turn right, they turn left when pulling in. also, this guy was hammering the gas pedal. throttling is better when the car is actually moving before opening it up. "Tires" dude, "Tires."

+korguenkomodo I noticed that when you were trying to pull in and stop, your front end just slid. that is nothing but solid ice under there so having studded snow tires was the only thing to slightly help out more. AWD system on flat ground wasn't gonna help that much, if any. sounds great too
