Lexus ISF Bumper paint

I just purchased the spray cans for this color aswell and it came with 2 (Base+Clear with flakes). They told me the second one is a clear coat with flakes but is it a substitute for clear coat or should I purchase another can like a 2k clear coat to finish it off?

the 2nd can is essentially clear coat with pearl flakes in it as you say . It's possible you might remove some of the "pearl effect" when you compound it so I bought another can of clear to protect it. I suggest you do too.

Okay thank you. I'll be color matching polyurethane hard rubber like rear aprons. My fear is that its going to flake off. Hopefully it doesn't.
