I'd be curious to hear more about your thoughts on the LC/RC mashup and if there's been any discussion; specifically changes, regarding the 2025 LC500, and what are some of your thoughts on what would make sense in the market (you sound skeptical on it!). A speculation video on the Toyota GR GT3 Coupe/Lexus LFA II/Mazda RX-Vision GT3 Concept would be neat to unpack the journey of that interesting car so far with all pivots of the model over the years. I keep seeing it as a hyper niche Mustang GTD competitor vs a rolling laboratory to show off technical/manufacturing capability. Seems like a track day special - I don't see how that translates into fine, high mileage machines trickling to other models downstream. Any insight to what would make it 'special' in that regards (materials used, powertrain, active aero, user interface, etc.) would be nice to hear. Also strange to take away from the Electrified Sport model which is seemingly the Halo and would be the test bed/rolling demonstration of new technologies moving forward ala LFA. Either way, thanks for the great content.

actually, the toyota S-FR, Daihatsu Copen/Suzuki Cappuccino trio is the most interesting from the lot, being, by far, the most affordable; I do hope one of them will get to Europe as the current mx5 is a 10 year old car and, here in the EU, they have stopped delivering the 2.0 engine model so, basically, now it is even less interesting than before.

MR2, Celica, Supra, GR86, and SFR!? No way that’s true. My guess would be that the Celica replaces/merges with the Supra, same with the 86 and SFR. So the lineup would look like SFR, Celica then MR2.

Celica wouldn't replace or merge with the Supra because the Celica would be more of a FWD/AWD GT car. Toyota would most likely phase out the Supra or continue with the BMW partnership if they go for another run. Toyota already mentioned in the past that they would have to charge about $100K for the Supra if they did not partner with BMW to manufacture the car.

I'm very interested in the MR2, and the Celica All-Trac/GT-Four. Very. But I have a feeling Toyota will screw them up somewhere, from pricing them too high as "premium" cars with a Toyota badge, or with their styling (think GR Supra like let down) or performance. Supra would be interesting if it is actually a pure Toyota, or if it were a BMW collab again, as the B58/S58 are good motors. But worried about their chassis weights if they don't have a Z4 chassis to work with. The M2 weighs so damn much. Only thing that would excite me more than those would be a new Mitsubishi Evolution, done right, aggressive AF, AWD, and all motor. I just wonder if Mitsu has not just the budget, but the engineer talent they had back in the day to make the EVO such an incredible car. GT-R being bev, well, any of the bevs, not interested. BEVs will be gone in 2025. Nobody wants them. Governments are pulling incentives. And some governments, hopefully, will end the forced plague that is BEVs in early 2025 on their day one.

for combustion version of mr2 , rerember, porsche cayman will be discontinued soon but they still have to compete with lotus emira v6 manual or inline 4 , with hydrallic steering... so itll probably be less than lotus emira because electric power steering inline 4 and smaller inline 4 (1.6 liter) . they have to compete with alpine a110 too, which has 2 liter inline 4 too. because its not inline 3 1.6 liter, i expect it has higher rpm than inline 3 could, otherwhy why not use more effceint better sounding inline 3?
