Nice video. I got to replacing my old cracked, worn out bushings last year. Before my ride quality and handling really sucked. I got turned on to putting the rc f lower control arm bushings on my ls430. Man these bushings changed my life. Handling is 10x better now with more connected to the road feeling.

wow this looks way easier than i thought. hopefully i can have mine driving as good as it looks. black on black 125k miles. such a classy old car. i don't want to ever get rid of it. bit excessive for just me but i love it.

You don't post anymore? I liked watching your videos especially on the LS430

What are the symptoms for needing to do this? My 2001 ls430 creaks a lot when coming to a abrupt stop.

How is the aftermarket bushing holding up after several months? I went with the IS350 bushings and I feel like they are already failing.
@theantgarage3 жыл бұрын
Still going, there is not much to them since it's just a normal rubber bushing.

Did u use the oem is350 ones made by toyota or an aftermarket set?
@randygonzalez5758 Жыл бұрын
I did the same (is350 bushings) and feel like they went to crap after about 2-3 years. I bought OEM bushings from eBay but I’m suspecting I actually bought counterfeit units.

Are you suppose to torque the bushing when the wheels are on the ground?
@wbcosca4 жыл бұрын
The bushings should be torqued to spec while there is a load. With the car on jack stands, use a floor jack under the control arm to jack it up to simulate load and then torque the bolts to spec.

It’d be cool if you had all the bolt sizes posted. I didn’t realize I’d need a 22. I had to go buy one. Largest I had was a 18.

Hi, Why was the torque specs on bushing?
@theantgarage4 жыл бұрын
The Torque specs are in the description.
@juggis Жыл бұрын
@@theantgarage I looked Lexus shop manual and the inner bolt torque spec was 64 ft.lbs. Which one is right? I guess 44 ft.lbs could be right for aluminium bracket and maybe 64 ft.lbs is for steel bracket?

How do you know those bushings needed changing instead of the whole arm?
@JesusSanchez-xu2is2 жыл бұрын
You never need to replace the arm... It's just faster and easier to replace the arm... Unless you wrecked it...

front struts for bouncing up and down... rotors on dirty hub, possibly new rotors and/or wheel bearing for the shake when braking

Could you do this with the car on ramps? Or just jack and jack stands
@theantgarage4 жыл бұрын
I don't think so, because you need to remove the wheel well liner.
