Lexus LS430 Sunroof Switch

Our Lexus LS430 (Ultra Luxury model) sunroof would randomly open on its own. Sometimes it did not want to close after opening. We pulled our overhead console out and replaced ONLY the switch and it took care of the issue.

Would you know how to replace the map lights do you have to pry the plastic piece from the where it's fastened or do you unscrew it?

Hi, I'm not sure where the motor is located. I sold my 430 a couple years ago.

My sunroof buttons don't seem to be working. did you throw the board away? I would love to buy it from you to test my buttons. My sunroof is stuck in the tilt up mode and I can't get it to move or make a sound. Because of the electronics involved I think I need a different assembly. I tested the board you referred to and it works. makes a connection once button is pressed. I think its the boards up ribbon and before the plug that are my issue. I could also borrow it and then return after I test it? I am happy to give you a deposit?

did some extensive searching: new ones are $5-600, i just ordered a used console assembly for about $80 on ebay, hoping that will work, will update here. I plan on pulling out sunroof switch and switching out the one from the new assembly from ebay and putting it into my console.

@@apesintanks162 yes - replaced the sunroof fuse in trunk and replaced a switch from a donor overhead console i bought on ebay - works well now

@Bagchaser305 I purchased a used switch. Sometimes new items are also offered on ebay. You may be able to pick up a used one at a local auto salvage yard, or a new one at a dealership.
