Ive been looking for this video for the better part of 2 years. My vehicle is a 2005 Chrysler 300, but apparently, they share the same style of connector. Thank you for having that picture in the thumbnail!

Many thanks. The plastic components of the 3 low tension coil connectors on my 1998 Lexus ES300 were disintegrating. I bought new plugs with tails etc on eBay but only needed the plastic parts. This video was so important in showing me how to swap over the plastic plugs.👌👍

Just ordered mine for my 01 IS. Last owner was not great to it but its a toyota product so just need little love to get it back and hopefully this will solve the last of my issues because if not I am F'ed in the A

@@ZachD I have literally and I'm not overemphasizing I have literally replaced every single thing that I thought would cause misfiring except these so if this doesn't solve my problem then I don't know what's going on with it

Awesome macro camera work. I ordered 3 originals from Toyota (part # 90980-11246). They don't come with wires so don't yank your wires off the originals folks. The aftermarket ones do have wires attached but they are often thinner gauge wires.

I changed plugs and wires and coil packs about 20 k miles ago and I have now a misfire on cylinder 5 could it be these connectors on my IS 300?
@ZachD4 жыл бұрын
each coil pack feeds two cylinders. These connectors have two prongs but I don't think that its one prong per cylinder. For that reason I think if one coil pack wasn't working then two cylinders would be misfiring. It would be a cheap replacement to try one of these coil pack connectors to see if that helps. In my misfire experience, spark plug wires have been the culprit so if you didn't replace those when you did the plug 20K ago I would do that.

On what year, make, and model was this connector going into? I have ES300 97 I checked out the link you provided and in the comment section, someone asked if fit ES300 97 the reply was " I don't know" that why I'm asking because I have 3 that are bad and now i'm getting engine misfire P0303.

I have a similar question, i replaced the connectors but I am not sure if the wire are in the right position, i may have switched them around and that may be reason car wont start
@lonewolfMI4 жыл бұрын
@@juanprofet4514 could be but idk. I took a picture before I stalled them. Try going junk yard and find the same car and see if the colors match. Or the IS forum online. If the car doesn't not turn on could be your key might be out of battery. Or your car battery. Or a fuse sorry I couldn't exactly help.

can you cut the previous wires to connecTOR and splice these ones in with a butt connector?

@ZachD4 жыл бұрын
If I recall correctly I think that you do. You can check out my other vid on the coil packs, etc and that will show the anatomy. although it was a little cumbersome it was pretty straightforward and its a good opportunity to give those pieces a good scrubbing.

I’m going to do this on my Supra. Luckily I have the housing kit so I didn’t have to worry about the OEM wires as well. Just connect them to the housing etc. very informative video. I appreciate it also I went ahead and change my coil pack to so everything will be new lol.

I am not an electrical guy but I am assuming it would. I taped "top" and "bottom" to the respective wires after I took them out of the previous assembly.
@MarkTheTerror4 жыл бұрын
ZD Productions Ok, in my case the entire housing broke off the connector, and I couldn’t figure out which one went where. I’d just guessed, but I think I was getting a issue with the timing of the coil pack. I just switched it to the other way and it seem to have solved the issue. Thanks.

@@MarkTheTerror mine wont start 2002 GS300, which wire goes one on top?
@MarkTheTerror4 жыл бұрын
Juan Profet I’m not sure, I ended up looking at the other connections, and make sure they were all the same. If you wire it incorrectly, the car should still start though, you might just have a poor idle which is what happened to me.
