Yeah, absolutely! In Papua new Guinea some tribes have a deep and ingrained culture of cannibalism, they look majestic when doing it! In Solapur village, Maharashtra, India they toss newborn babies off from the terrace of 50ft tower to a crowd. So beautiful! The feet bounding culture from China was a personal favorite of mine, too bad it was banned. It was so noble and beautiful those tiny feet full of cultural enrichimemt

This is Chechen dance. This is not Circassian dance. Circassian folklorist Ryushtu Tuguz says that this dance "sheshen-laperyse" belongs to the Chechens dance style. Even the Circassian choreographer Amerbiy kulov says that this dance is a Chechen dance style. Circassian folklorist Said Mushachiev says that this dance belongs to the Chechens of Shatoi-Binoi. The Circassian historian N.A. Chundishko claims that this dance was borrowed from the Chechens.

I am captivated by so many things about this dance but especially by the hand dancing that the dancers use. The contrast between the fluid grace of the feminine hand movements and the sharp staccato of the masculine hand movements is just hypnotic. Meanwhile the ultra fast small stepping by all dancers moves their bodies around the dance floor as though they were floating. The whole effect is just magical.

Cool your horses, and I mean horses. Yes, this is one of the most beautiful dances, and the music is haunting and gets deep into your system, but it also tells the story of men and women segregated from each other, and women having to carry the family honour through managing/denying their sexuality and ability to choose while men are free. It tells the story of machismo and a certain type of untamed energy which has been known to degenerate into savagery in war.
