@apoetreadstowrite Dunedin's Scottish ties are interesting. They are a Sister City to Sterling, Scotland. They have one of a very few school systems in the US that teaches bagpipes in pre-adolescent grades. Their high school band is a full Pipe Band complete with Celtic dancers, as well as the requisite number of pipes and drums. Either they or the city band (or both) usually make it to the World Pipe Band Championship in Scotland and have won several times through the years. The pier I showed at the beginning had bagpipes at sunset on Friday and Saturday nights during tourist season. They played "Amazing Grace" as the sun went down and it was absolutely beautiful. People LOVED it!

Dunedin is also where the Blue Jays (used to???) have their spring training!

@SandyTCF yes! It is! I think they still train there. During COVID, it was their home stadium - Canada was shutdown.

@SandyTCF they played an "away" game with the Tampa Bay Ray's in St. Pete FL, then a few days later, played a "home" game in Dunedin about 20 miles away. It was crazy!
