guys i agree with whats being said here...but i dont think there is anything wrong with making the traditional songs a bit more contemporary or audience compatible in order to draw in the younger audiences....from there they can explore the teacher such as sabri and mohammad khayri on there own...but first they need to b introduced.

Believe me friend; this is not complex improvisational modulation. In order to compare him with "peers from his generation", you will need him to sing the with songs new accomplishments, not cowardly repeating what was already sang by the pro's. I would rather listen to Mari Jubran singing the songs he sings instead of wasting time. I will say that he's NOT comparable to any of the great voices Aleppo has known. I mean it's like listening to george wassouf singing Om Kulsum. Absurd

he is really NOT good... Cant beleive people in Syria listen to crap! he is still better than maaaaaany...

Can't you see that he is basically butchering the piece he is singing? Transforming it into a popular audience-compatible version! I was really not trying to be subjective here. Anyways, it's people like him that are destroying the rich tradition, unlike the great Sabri Mudallal, Sabah Fakhri, Mohammad khayri, Marie Jubran among many others.
