While technically safer than LMC, LFP batteries have also caught fire. Tesla uses LFP batteries only in the model 3 normal range version, where there is room to install a larger battery to compensate for the lower energy density. LFP is also cheaper to produce. This bike will have lower range than an equivalent LMC version

Yes lfp will smoke rather than big blast that's why we say it is safe. It's heat resistant is higher than NMC chemistry. Also NMC are higher price and cobalt are toxic elements. Better to go with LFP

@@DiwakarRajanOnline if space is available, but manufacturers are also being pushed for range. Sodium also shows promise. All of these new technologies also have unknown or understood issues. It's still reasonable to go with the well understood LMC type until LFP gets some industry traction and field experience. It's good that some manufacturers are trying it out, and let's hope mistakes are avoided and it emerges as a trusted technology.

Glad they are going with LFP bikes. But he is lying about Battery fires in Tesla roadster. There was never an issue. Also Tesla has not switched to LFP for all their vehicles. Only some of the lower range versions. LFPs are naturally safer than other chemistries. But with the right design other batteries can be safe too.

The only time Tesla Roadsters were on fire was when a workshop housing a lot of Tesla Roasters had a fire and the roadsters were also burned in the process. Outside of Roadsters there were a few battery fires in other Teslas. But that's very rare and less than other brand EVs and at least 60 times less likely than a petrol vehicle fire according to an insurance company study. And if you look at all the details, only their Standard range vehicles are switching to LFP. Long range vehicles and heavy vehicles like cybertruck and semi will still use Nickel or Nickel-Mangnese batteries. That may change years from now when LFP batteries become more energy dense. Anyway, what I am trying to say is, with the right packaging and BMS other chemistries can be very safe too.

@@DiwakarRajanOnline Tesla is actually moving to the new 4680 LMC cell and also using blade batteries from BYD in some of its Chinese products. Tesla has been trying to cut the cost of the model 3 so it's also looking at LFP. Tesla works with Panasonic, LG chemicals and CATL. It's hard to say where Tesla will go next as they have a huge range of vehicles and battery based products like the power wall and Freightliner. These can all use different cell technology

You are right. This is a chinese bike rebranded as SVM Prana. The original manufacturer is Kingche. The model name is DSM. There are videos here on KZbin of this as well.

Motor is made in Hosur and control panel is made in USA by SVM holding patents which recently got acquired by Nasdaq listed company.
