@12:58 Wanted to Fact Check you for "Leafs take more Too Many Men penalties than most teams" but it turns out you're right. Since the 15/16 season when Babcock came to Toronto, the leafs have 50 bench minors (good for 2nd place in the NHL only behind the Avalanche who has 51). They had 16 in 15/16 when Babcock came to town which was the highest in the league that year. Could be a consequence of new coaching staff and a communication gap between players and coaching staff. New players/coaching staff this season could be the reason why Leafs are on pace for 15 this season.

If you listen to Goku's comments after the game he makes good point he wanted the PP unit to play off instinct and not a set structure which the rest of the league knows all about. Think about it Tavares, Marner, Matthews know the game and can read the play. They understand how to get open. If fans want offense Babs let 'em loose on the PP.
