@@jdawg3629 in the 90’s I was a wee lad who was peeing his diapers and going to kindergarten. Was born in ‘94. Got my first PC and internet access in 2005 but my friend had a PC since 2003 so we were hanging out together playing games and stuff. He was the one who got me into metal in the first place cause he was playing bass. My first metal band was Pantera. Then Slipknot and so on. Before that I was into rock like Linkin Park, Nightwish, Evanescence, etc. Plus I am not from US so I would’ve had 0 chances to see them live anyways. But I do agree that metal is a fountain of youth.

Vinnie Paul carried on playing in a new band Hellyeah! until he passed away in 2018 from heart failure (R.I.P. 😷) Phil Anselmo (vocals) of Pantera is still alive... he's kept busy w/ musical projects like the Illegals, Superjoint, Down, Scour... You must not have fully comprehended the first verse, the one that made you laugh. Let's look at it: "I wonder if we'll smile In our coffins while Loved ones mourn the day Absence of our face Living, laughing, eyes awake Is this too much for them to take?" This verse is almost better understood split in half as two sentences. I will list keep it short and simple by giving my interpretations. I wonder if we'll be happy when we are dead while those we leave behind mourn. The absence of our face, of us living, laughing and awake might be too much for them to take. If you did understand the lyrics then I don't understand why you had that reaction.
